Alright folks i am close to red ranks, however i gotta admit i am fucking MATI and i started my LowTierGod journey by plugging because people think spamming the same stuff without any variety is fun. there's no punishment for plugging, so have fun abusing it. when i reach red ranks i will yeet this game from my hard drive, i wanna fucking neck myself.

If you "reached" red ranks by plugging, you didn't deserve it in the first place. Suffer just like the rest of us, faggot. Do at least a one-and-done, and if you're doing even that, take a break. Warm up in Quick Match first to gauge if you're ready for a ranked session in the first place. You won't lose any points.

This is a shitty way to play fighting games, and part of the reason why online modes suck. Like @Blitzsneed said, git gud or just quit. No point in suffering if you're not having fun.

Speaking from myself who has gotten better with fighting games, you seriously need to git gud

Now, initially I wanted to stop at red ranks, but I assume the good shit starts here or at blue. Probably will continue until blue or the game starts annoying me again.

So on top of plugging and disconnects, cheating got worse with people now increasing certain item sizes by 500% to make identifying limbs and frames near impossible. Harada's reponse? Report them on Twitter because Harada and Murray don't want to lose Cash Shop and disc-locked content customers. Now shut up and Don't ask for shit." implementing in-game report feature is hard, and Harada said it involves law or some stupid shit. Now shut up and go buy badly-made nostalgic costumes and disc-locked characters with your shekels, you cucked goyim faggots.

This is such an interesting rise in fighting games as of late. They're like speedrunning; exciting to watch, always relevant, yet almost entirely a spectator sport. Nobody joins in, and if they do, they do it for the spectacle and quit soon thereafter. Yes, rank is all there is to obtain in fighting games. It's the fucking purpose of the game. But to hit a rank and then just quit is odd to me. Sure if it's boring and you're not enjoying it, quit. But other than that, it's no different than farming sims or online shooters. You just play. There is no real end goal but to feel good about playing something you enjoy and seeing SOME progress.

I remember Pewdiepie randomly starting to stream MTG and hitting the max rank then quitting, but he genuinely enjoyed it. I've seen a few streamers play SF6/T8 "for fun" but ending up basically maining it more than the game they made a community out of, ie. having a lot of morrowind meme emotes or yakuza references, not having touched either in.. ever. I

've sat on my RAP4 for ages and I just can't get into it. Half the excitement of playing is learning a new controller but I fucking hate the inaccuracy of a joystick. Ive wanted a leverless for ages but with no cheap entry level Ive just not bothered. Just ordered the Haute 42 T16 and kinda excited about it. I have zero passion for games these days but even "ironically" practicing a bit of Panda was fun. Imagining doing so with a real worthwhile zoomer-friendly stick seems enticing. Granted, I don't feel strongly about any T8 character so I fear I won't have that "GOTTA BE A X MAIN" vibe which is what entices many players.

This is true, but it is the main problem. This game is by far one of the most tilting experiences I've had since a few years. I was extremely close to red ranks multiple times, but there is always either a fucking Victor, Drag, Azucena (actually manageable if the player doesn't spam) or may Allah forgive me for naming this character: King. The balancing is currently an absolute joke and throw timings are complete bullshit. You have a few milliseconds to react and even then, start praying that your input actually went through. Not to mention fags using macros, cheaters (the most infamous one got a 30-day ban, not a permanent one) and what have you. This game is a total shitfest in ranked. At least Quick Match isn't this insufferable.

Sure, you can git gud. But in some matchups, the odds are stacked against you so severely even that won't be enough.

what are macros exactly? I see this even on FightCade2, but it's never explained.

is it like a script that does the inputs for the player or something?
Correct guess. For example EWGF for the Mishimas and Kangz half-circle throws. I'm crabbing on orange ranks. So perfect EWGFs in a row and fast and perfectly executed moves, that normally require months or even years to get down by heart, in the rank I'm currently in, should be impossible. I'm between 50-100 hours and am playing this game somewhat seriously now, because it's new, fresh, has amazing graphics and I've played the PS1 Tekkens as a kid. But multiple perfect executions for advanced moves in the same set? In fucking orange ranks? This isn't normal.
Did the advanced King throws myself in labbing and there is zero possibility that players in my rank to do it without breaking a sweat, while a opponent can punish those easily on windup.

If I gave a rat's ass about fighting games, and most of them didn't suck (this game looks good, but I fuck the disc-locked content and Cash Shop) I'd consider trying a leverless stick. My Boomer gripe is the button layouts for moving your character, but it's something I'd get used to. I'm just not spending over $100 for a controller to play a video game genre I have no more love for.

Aren't Jun, Devil Jin, and Xioayou still bullshit good? I heard Yoshi is up there too (otherwise, DSP wouldn't have bothered to use him before he raged quit. God, his Yoshi was ass). This is what happens when you make games for the 1% of the fanbase that will go to tournaments and have nothing else for other players. Is there even anything to do after you beat the cringe Story Mode, get the cringier endings, and beat the X-Box Avatar Mode?

It doesn't matter what game it is. Every game's online mode will have its issues and cheaters regardless of the rollback netcode or whatever they use now. The way Tekken 8 handles cheaters is really baffling because even if you ban LTG and the guy that's been cheating since Tekken 7, they'll come back. Dale already has 5+ accounts to evade bans. They don't care if you get rid of one account. Meanwhile, the people who get screwed from plugging get burned out. You can't stop cheating, but at least reward punish pluggers and give people points. We all know Bamco won't really address the cheating because they want everybody, cheaters included, to buy disc-locked content and Tekken Shop shit.

Yes, they're insanely good and overtuned. DJ is the best Mishima currently, I'm not playing him, because it feels cheap tbh. Jun has a free full chip damage heal, even if you block the heat smash. Knee and other tourney players bitched about Xiao's AOP dodge. It's justified. Yoshi's kinda bullshit, but I might pick him up, because he looks fun to play as.

Just like the Dark Souls series. It's nothing new.

not denying that people online use macros but EWGF is pretty trivial to do on hitbox/keyboard. this is my first tekken game and i'm already pretty consistent at them. if someone jumps into this game wanting to play a mishima they're probably spending a lot of time in training mode practicing specifically that, but usually they're a lot worse at actually playing the game if you can play around electrics because that's all they've practiced.

half circles are also very easy if you have experience with any anime fighters. tekken execution overall is extremely easy compared to those. not that there isn't difficulty to tekken combos but it usually comes from situational awareness of the wall, floor breaks, etc.

i was having fun with reina but then i realized that if i wanted to tryhard execution i'd play a 2d fighter so i switched to xiaoyu and she's a blast to play.
