If it is no one we care about, then why include it in the first place? Why not have it be one of the actual characters in that case? Guess we'll know in a couple weeks.

Sorry to go off topic, but I'd say post 2015 but not in that year itself aside the announcement and trailer for Ghostbusters 2016, compare Jurassic world to fallen kingdom, while I think both are ok you can tell FK was made after 2016, from the appearance of MSNBC and that "president denys existence of dinosaurs" thing, to the characters of zika and Franklin and especially the "nasty woman" line. Or even Force awakens to every star wars movie after at least rouge one. The only complaints most people, even fans had with force awakens was it copied a new hope and played it too safe.

Did the shoehorn US Border Patrol killporn in there somehow? That is exceptional. That just says all you need to know about the chances of this being anything other than a shitfire. If he were to get an alien terminator I was hoping it would be space variety and not illegal. How utterly bland and current year.

Yeah, the US border patrol slaughter has been in damn near every trailer so far. The police slaughter in T1 comes to mind, but I highly doubt that scene was in any way politically motivated on Cameron's part. Back then, Terminator was just a sci-fi horror/thriller inspired by Outer Limits and a dream he had when he was sick.
As for alien Terminators, there was that one AVP vs Terminator comic where SkyNet makes a Predinator or something. It's not as cool as it sounds, but the idea just makes me want an Alien vs Terminator movie that's very much in the vein of T1 and Alien. Claustrophobic space horror with two killers that ends in a tense clash between the two while one or two survivors try desperately to escape. Then maybe the Terminator survives and kills the human survivors, I dunno. I'll root for my favorite killer.

The Aliens vs Predator vs Terminator comic got much worse than that. Skynet created Alien/Terminator hybrids to fight the Predators. Then the Predators kidnap the Ripley clone from Alien Resurrection, "probe" her, and she leads the Predators into battle where everyone except Call does.

Oh yeah, the fact that this was set after Alien: Resurrection was unfortunate poor timing.
One of the things I really didn't like about the comic (and other similar ones) are the laughably comical mugs they give the Terminators. Those bastards are grinning and mugging all the way through like goofy comic book villains. The doctor that lived as a sleeper agent for SkyNet was plausible within the Terminator universe, but veering into the AVP universe from there was like veering your car off the wrong exit into another car. Lastly is the concept of Alien-Terminator hybrids being able to "absorb" energy from their surroundings.

And more leaks confirm that its indeed a shitfest. Some good action, a few really good scenes in the mix, but John Conner is blown away in the first 5 min of the film at age 12 or so and he's gone for good. No Edward Furlong cameo, not even any dialogue either.

Not everything needs to be dragged out into a franchise. We didn't need a couple of dozen Terminator sequels and soft-reboots, etc.

This is why I never give into the hype for the latest movies and go in expecting something amazing, but then leaving disappointed and cheated out of my money when the movie is over. Even though I'm a big fan of the Terminator franchise, I can admit both the plot is dated and the action scenes are predictable; that you don't have to see the movie to do what's going to happen because it's going to be a rehash of the previous Terminator movies.
Despite the reviews I'll go in and hope to have a good time. Hell I lose more gambling so paying a few dollars for a ticket to see Terminator is going to kill me. Also, I bring in some chicken nuggets and hot mustard sauce because they are delicious!

Literally the only comment that was positive about the film was from Arnold Schwarzenegger's reddit account. Even the fucking r/movies tardswarm is showing no mercy for this shit, with the consensus being that having to trick people into watching your movie bodes exceptionally poorly.
I mean imagine being an old school movie fan, hyped to go out and watch a classic piece of cinema in the theater with friends and fellow aficionados, maybe taking along some normies with you to show them how movies used to be awesome....only for some hired cuck to walk out infront of the screen and declare in a lisp "guess what guys, you have been selected to test screen the new stunningly progressive terminator movie!" and before you know whats happening the fugly face of Dyklan Roof hits the screen and you realise there is no fucking escape from the hell of modern cinema
Seriously, this is one step removed from releasing "the original and unedited star wars trilogy" on blu-ray only for the end result to actually be a series of lectures on toxic masculinity and inclusive writing as presented by the smuggest and most obnoxious #woke troons and dangerhairs of lucasfilm.
