They're based on a game called Sky: Children of the Light. It's a social adventure game where players can explore this really cool fantasy kingdom that's long since fallen. It's got a story mode, where you work with other players to restore the stars to the sky, and then there's a very casual social mode where players can explore the entire world and interact with each other and it focuses a lot on building friendships with them. It's by the same company that made Journey and has very similar vibes. I'm pretty sure all of the options on this picrew are based off the different cosmetics for your little character.

Here's my new oc uwu, this is Lizabella Von Bundy and he is a genderfluid wahmen who uses she/he/they/ and vore/voreself.
Vore is a Tommy innit Stan and she has self diagnosised retro grade amnesia, DID and Angelman Syndrome. His alters are Ash Ketchup, Dream, the kangaroo from Kangaroo Jack, Ted Bundy, and a flesh light she found in the park one day.
Likes: diapers, educating the unwashed masses, incest fan fictions, dream myct, communism.
Dislikes: breathing, washing, people telling them that vore can't self diagnose herself.

I love Picrew. I used to make a couple of these years ago. In fact, my avatar is Picrew, lol. I was only recently aware of those Western Tumblrsona generators, there wasn't a lot of them on the homepage back then. It used to be this fairly niche website.

Looking into this, yeah, I agree with the OP, there's often such a clear difference in quality between western and eastern. Another easy way to tell if that particular entry is Western is they usually have token "representation" built in. (And vitiligo, apparently.)

I find it hilarious that the Japanese and Korean illustrators have been telling these tumblr people to get out. These SJW people just seem to ruin everything they touch, don't they?

I'm gonna edit this post when I find something horrendous haha.

what makes it funnier is the fact that sjws typically preach about listening to minorities and respecting what they want, only to ignore them when they don't want this crowd around them. it truly says a lot that the site has a built-in feature now where you can see the top japanese picrews vs. the rest of the world.

here's a gem i found today under the recent area. the first thing you open it to is a page with the option of having top surgery scars or a binder. you'd expect the sjw crowd to hate south park yet here we are.
