A Nightmare on Elm Street - Directed by Jordan Peele
Freddy Krueger is an innocent black janitor that was lynched by evil racist wypipo and returns to kill their children, all of whom are also irredeemable racist wypipo, except for the protagonist whose parents are the only black people in town and their only crime was not helping a brother when he was down. The shitty CGI dream sequences all have elements of Afro-mysticism, which causes critics like AO Scott to soyface so hard they dislocate their jaws like a ball python.
I have not seen the new Candyman movie that Peele had some involvement with, so this may be identical to what happens in that.
