This may be cliché, but EATOT is scary if you ever had anyone you know suffer from dementia. I knew a guy who's mom just stared at the sun until someone pulled her away, apparently she forgot to blink and almost blinded herself.
The fact that melodies get scared out of the song by the rage of corruption at the beginning of Stage 5 and then try by only do small melodies in tiny steps before it decided not to bother anymore as well as hearing small weeps in the song like the song is desperate in this confusion but doesn't have the energy to rage against the corruption is the saddest part.

I associate this tune with the Corinthian's first appearance in The Sandman comics by Niel Gaiman (the motel scene in particular)

Current 93 have a number of deeply unsettling tracks in their career. Try this spoken-word adaptation of a Thomas Ligotti text, "I Have a Special Plan for This World":

After that, try "Alone Into The Alone" and "Faust."

I feel like I'm cheating by including harsh noise in this, but this one disturbed me when I first heard it. There's a warning on the special edition of this CD to not play this track at a high volume because of how piercing it is. A lot of their discography is disturbing on its own but this one manages to be more effective without William Bennett screaming over it.

Great pfp man. Speaking of which, CC had some music with spooky elements that fit here:
"Teach Her How To Hunt" is almost the exact same track. from their latest album.

This album and III really hit the nail on the head for me for CC's eerie shit. Intimate sounds like it should be in a horror game.

This one is pretty basic for this thread. I'm a sucker for this band and the apocalypse this album captures

Not sure if anyones shared this yet, but its easily one of the most uncomfortable and unnerving songs I've ever listened too:
