Terror Trouble in Orlando

The Jester wrote up a post on how twitter has been hindering US authorities from monitoring these nutjobs.

I was going to point you guys towards checking this out, but its dead right now. Its a tool where you can following trending twitter topics and users, mostly designed to track down jihadis. I recommend checking this tool out if it comes back online.

:powerlevel:I used Dataminr at my last job. The most notable thing it let me see in real time was the Garissa shooting. It's really strange watching something unfold in that much detail from such an impersonal vantage.

The idea that intelligence agencies don't have access to a similar dashboard in $CURRENT_YEAR is absurd.

I wish the alt-right idiots on Reddit would stop upvoting this shit on KiA. Most of the Orlando-related news they keep fucking posting has got nothing to do with videogames.

Okay, so they've been censored in other places like /r/news when they posted on this issue--So fucking what? They can't create their own board or subreddit instead of hijacking an existing one? It's extremely annoying how guys who don't give two fucks about videogames treat KiA and GG-related boards as a dumping ground for off-topic, politically-charged shitposting whenever they find that they can't do it elsewhere.

It's like the "no politics" rule on KiA is practically non-existent to them.
GOD DAMNIT YOU FUCKING /pol/ DRONES STOP UPVOTING NEWS IN MY GAMERGATE SUBREDDIT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

DON'T THEY KNOW IT'S E3

Now that it's had time to sink in, I can't stop thinking about the victims and their families. It's absolutely mind-blowing how complex a single person and their life is; every single person has a past, a future, hopes and dreams, friends and family, satisfactions and regrets, opinions, feelings, motivations, and so on. How many things won't happen now because those 50 people won't be there to start or influence them? What will happen differently? It's just so much to take in.

I guess all we can hope for is that the injured will make a full recovery and the loved ones of the victims will find the strength to go on. Such a senseless tragedy.

50 people just died and tumblr is already trying to mold it for a excuse for their bullshit. I honestly was mourning for those who did lose their lives in that bar, but I just had a second feeling that tumblr would pull this shit off. Missing the real point. It gets exhausting seeing bullshit like that.
Most straight people under 35 have been to a gay club at least once & have gay friends and family. But Tumblr autists don't understand because all they do is compartmentalise things and label every single idea from their darkened bedroom.

Even in the wake of tragedy, Tumblr has to shit over everything. Also I'm pretty sure most Tumblrinas would have been or already exiled from their local gay communities because of how out of touch with reality they are, hence why they always spend 16 hours a day on the internet.

Also I want to post this picture to every post that keeps trying to rationalize or explain away Islamic terrorism:

The unfortunate part is that full recovery is not really an option.

Wounds may heal, but scars will always remain--no matter what. :(

Why do some libtards feel like radical islam needs to be defended, when they're perfectly willing to call out extremist christians when they pull bullshit?
Liberal idiots assume Islam is monolithic and innocent. Conservative idiots assume Islam is monolithic and evil. Both are ways of conveniently dismissing a complex issue without having to think too hard about it.

Tumblr retards believe all Christians are white and all Muslims are precious brown people who can do no wrong. Unsurprisingly they don't seem to understand how religion works.

It's total bigotry to think that just because he was yelling Allahu Akbar while murdering people that he had some kind of religious motivation for it.
It totally doesn't breed more anger and paranoia to openly lie about the motive.
If a fundamentalist christian shoots up an abortion center its because of mental illness and a particular interpretation of the bible, but if a muslim kills 50 people it has NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM.

I think it's about identity politics, extremist Christians are typically white and from the west so there's no danger of peers calling you a racist or bigot if you say you hate them but with radical Islam they typically aren't white and come from a diffrent culture so it's a politically correct minefield.

For example on social media there is a lot of virtue signalling so if they criticize an extremist Christian they're basically saying "Look I'm not racist!" but if they did the same for a follower of radical Islam beliefs they might worry people will think they're siding with right wing politics.
