I can't help but feel that this is an attack inspired by ISIS. The spokesman of ISIS called on followers to launch attacks on the United States and Europe during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan; they already set a precedent for it last year. ISIS has also repeatedly stated that if their followers can't travel to Syria, they should try to kill as many "kafir" in their home countries as possible. Americans at a gay nightclub sure seem like a great target for that purpose.
