Inactive Terry A. Davis / Terrence Andrew Davis - Creator of TempleOS (formerly LoseThos/sparrowOS)

Google Translate has become far more readable than that, at least German->English produces semi-semantically-correct, semi-readable texts; I don't know about the other languages, though.

On topic: Has anyone ever installed that wacko-OS? What is it like?
Only wacko OS I still have lying around on an old hard drive is Red Star 3.0, North Korea's attempt at emulating Mac OSX using some variant of Fedora Core. It's great in the sense that it creates a UUID whenever you open any file, with a background process that attempts to contact a central server in Pyongyang. Which literally does fuck all over here, but over there, I'm sure anything suspect would get you blackbagged by the Eternal Leader.

Forever my favorite cow. Because his is truly a tragic tale.
He was insanely talented and did things on his own that few could ever hope to accomplish even as a team. His mental decline is a testament that misfortune can strike anyone at any time. And along the way we got some of the most amusing rants and antics to ever grace the internet.
Hard to believe this much time has already passed

Probably like half of the big ones you've heard of were initially created by one person. Python was Guido Van Rossum, PHP was Rasmus Lerndorf, C++ was Bjarne Stroustrup, D was Walther Bright.

If that list included hobby/proof of concept languages like the one Terry created, almost all of them would be created by one person.

Terry Davis is dearly missed, and was clearly a skilled programmer, but he wasn't some once-in-a-generation genius that was cursed with madness. He's not John Nash or anything. Just a clever schizo who made some interesting stuff, and more importantly said some absolutely histerical shit.
Imo he was still a genius, C++ is an incredibly hard language to learn, nevermind combine with something else successfully. I'm sure there are people who also did something similar, but it seems to be something else entirely when you can master more than one code to create an entirely new one with the hardest languages out there.

Rest in peace Terry. We miss you.
