she has been dealing with long covid since 2023. she has been bed bound and has zero energy to do anything. was dealing with lots of symptoms such as chest pain, light and sound sensitivity, etc. looking through her insta and alt twitter it looks like she is just now getting to the point where she can do basic things such as embroidery, take a bath,and sit in the living room. it actually is sad to see what a terrible condition she is in and what she has been dealing with since 2023. but it does look like she is slowly getting better, so let's hope she keeps recovering.

As much as I love Terry the whole 'being occationally-violently schizo enough that his family finally had enough, banging literal crackwhores, and he was in legal trouble' was more of a problem - more than him saying nigger on stream.
I get that, and I was being hyperbolic. However, in my life I've seen people 10 times worse than Terry, who couldn't do the things Terry could do, get chance after chance and resources thrown at them "to improve". My disillusionment is more at the fact we had a guy that could make his own complier (like a White man) and they stuck him in an environment like his parents house where his talents went to waste and he got sicker and deteriorated. I realize it was not an easy situation with him, as well; Terry was his own worst enemy, but when you have someone like him you should try very hard to help him; we didn't.
Those guys that took him out for lunch and to just shoot the shit are saints. It was a very noble thing to do for an ostracized schizophrenic man. And there were some great technical insights in that recorded lunch.
Agreed. Those kids did him a great kindness and treated him like a real person for the first time in a long time. If he has have been placed in a supervised living facility instead of left to rot "in an old environment", maybe his staff could have been young people that loved computers and programming. Maybe his workers could have rented him out a woodshed to pound away on a drum kit without bothering his elderly parents (hit me with the hats, I don't care; I'm legit MATI over that shit. Fuck whoever sent him a kit). Maybe there could have been staff there to help prevent him from indulging in his worst habits and tendencies. I guess that's the worst part of all this for me, all the MR GODdamn maybes. Alas, it is what it is toobz
Totally unrelated to Terry I regularly follow her diannahaze twitter account. It's an insane downfall. She did a 24 hour stream where she demonstrates how she simply lays in bed with a pad on her face all day. The past couple months she's been getting more active on twitter, apparently improving. It's fascinating to see someone who is of the science communicator class fall into a medical limbo filled with doubt and pseudoscience. Chronic fatigue syndrome is largely outside of "science". Now she surrounds herself with the fringes of the ZeroCovid community because that's all there is.
That was just a genuinely vile thing to do and probably at least indirectly led to his death.
