This is why I detest those that argue that drawn child porn is a "victimless crime" because the children aren't real.
It's often not, people into that shit often move on to real child porn, or even end up molesting children. It feeds a dangerous sickness that shouldn't be fed.

Serial killers often start with animals before moving onto human victims. I suspect the same to be likely with people into loli/shota shit. Start with cartoons, end with real kids.

Given his obsession with anime and hentai, I suspect Thad was one such case.

Did that absolute madman just dox his place of employment? He has a Target employee badge in that picture. I'm obviously suspicious of anything from 4chan, but that looks like him, like the previous one, and I don't see where anyone other than him would get that.

I thought sex offenders were supposed to stay away from areas with children? Guess it can't be helped, the man does need a job and there aren't many workplaces for a guy of his substandard intelligence that wouldn't be either a fast food joint or a Walmart (Or a Walmart clone like Target) where there are bound to be kids.
 
Looks like this Saga just became even more interesting. If the law hasn't asked him to make a video yet? I don't know if he would or not? Maybe a friend of his could help. But that might take awhile. Target. Never thought that business is still around in 2018? Interesting.

At the extreme end of :optimistic:, could be he's working in the back room where it's unlikely he'd be seen anywhere near a child, which would likely let him skate by on a "that's fine for now", especially if the law is remotely competent and is keeping tabs on what he's doing now he's out. If not, then yeah, I'd be worried.

They can't ban them from being near children at all, that'd be ridiculous.

They can only ban them from being near specific child dense areas like schools.

Right. But I imagine the cops would be very interested if he were spotted talking to children at work. It's probably a condition of his release he can't talk to kids. They know he will encounter them by circumstance, but I'd imagine he's to do his best to pretend they're not there.

You'd think after years in prison he wouldn't be stupid enough to try anything, but from the fact he's posting on 4chan, whether or not that's technically allowed, it's pretty clear he's exactly that stupid.
 
Thad working at Target seems plausible, as there is a Target in Southfield MI, 30333 Southfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48076, USA. Combined with the reverse image searches turning up nothing and everything else checking out, I'm going to err on the side of it being him but still taking this with a grain of salt.

This is why stupid people are dangerous. They're too dumb to know they're breaking the rules. I think that's why he violated his bail conditions because he simply couldn't grasp that his social media was being monitored (I feel sorry for whoever got stuck with that job), and he'd be punished for it. Smart people break the law too, but they at least try to not get caught. Since the whole thing started because he couldn't stop bragging about his collection of child porn, I think he just lacks the ability to understand that what he was doing was wrong and people would have a problem with it.

He's the sort of moron who would think it's illegal for the police to monitor your social media, or believe that if you ask someone if they're an undercover cop, they have to tell you.

I've had people tell me that the cops can't read your social media, including public posts, without a warrant. Those people are usually very surprised when they get arrested for posting a pic of themselves with contraband or doing something illegal.

Social media posts are considered public information, so they don't need a warrant to search it. They do need a warrant, however, to access account or get login info unless the info is in plain sight or there is exigent circumstances (https://www.eff.org/issues/know-your-rights#37).

Right, and a warrant is particularly required for private messages between the suspect and others. Of course, if they're suspected of wronging and you can create a fake profile and bait them into confessing/soliciting illegal activities, you don't need a warrant. If the cops wanted to nail Thad, they'd just have to create a profile of an underage girl and make sure he finds it. I'm sure he'd be obliging enough to incriminate himself.
