Feedback Thank you, Null - Express thanks here, ingrates

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Null, thanks dude, seriously.

I'm not even particularly invested in the whole "lolcow" thing; I'm just a middle-aged person who craves "old internet" style communications and KF is truly the only forum that does it right. This place is comfy as fuck: you can kick back and talk about any topic under the sun without walking on eggshells or fear of looming tranny jannies. It's a little slice of serenity in an insane world. Praying this place is preserved or, worst case scenario, something similar quickly rises from the ashes. Free expression is worth fighting for.

I'm a near-absolutist when it comes to free expression, and your stand against its enemies approaches the heroic. Anything I can do, let me know.

Null has been nothing short of heroic, and we all are very grateful and inspired.

I remember he once posted about a moment of doubt he was having (was it the occasion of his 30th birthday? Something like that...) He said something to the effect of "I never chose this for myself. I didn't want to devote my life to this battle" (very poor paraphrase, but it was something like that)

However, the battles we face in life sometimes choose us instead of the other way around. And the mother of all battles in society has chosen him. If he had said, "this is just one battle I simply can't take on any longer. This is too much", there would be no dishonor in it. He's already devoted a significant part of his life to fighting the good fight, and has thus paid his lifetime dues. He has certainly made a lot of personal sacrifices to keep this place we love alive.

But he took them on in heroic fashion, and we're still standing, righteously, thanks to Null.

Long live our Dear Leader, and all gratitude to him! The internet is indeed a freer place, thanks to his efforts.

I hadn't logged into this account in years, but I just wanted to say I respect the fuck out of you @Null. Almost everyone else we used to depend on to protect freedom of speech on the Internet has proven to be spineless. No matter what the powers that be have thrown at you, you haven't backed down. You are a shining example to us all.

Did I thank @Null in here yet? I don't remember. Well everyone has said everything, so all I'll add is that none of them are exaggerating. Well ok I didn't read every one I'm sure one of them is exaggerating

@Null is a principled man amongst cattle and women. I can not express the depths of my gratitude for his work in ensuring there is a last bastion of free inquiry and open honest discussion on the internet.

I am very grateful for him.

Site loading very fast for me via Tor now, excellent work from the proprietor again. Thanks, @Null.

I'm really sorry for the downtime. It's mostly my fault.
@Null, sorry for pinging you, but there is literally nothing for you to apologize about. Everything that's happened this past week or so is because retards can't handle the fact that people online are allowed to shit talk them and not suck their e-peen (since we all know their real peen is long gone). You've done more than any of us would do in your situation, and there isn't enough that we can do to properly express our gratitude other than continuing to log on just to spite the retards.
The vocal minority is doing their best to wear you down in hopes that you just give up and shut it all down, and I wouldn't fault you if you did, but I firmly believe you have the silent majority on your side. Keep doing your best, you got this.

Okay, Tor's back up, hopefully it will stay up for the weekend. I'm not touching anything and leaving well enough alone.

I'm really sorry for the downtime. It's mostly my fault. I'm having to learn a lot on the fly and my ability to reach out for help is really limited because I can't expose information about the network due to the persistent threats. Luckily, my circle of confidants is growing slowly and my options are broadening.

Next week I'm going to get this shit working no matter what. We've had a nice dirt nap, and it's time to come back.

Total fucking Chad!

We love you Null!

Null has turned himself from an autist and amateur banana pepper enthusiast to the last bastion of free speech on the internet. If there's any justice left in the world, he should be drowning in feet and armpit pics from the ladies of Kiwifarms for his principled stand. And we all stand with him. I know I do (enjoy the pics, null)

I love you man, keep up the good work, thank you for giving spergs like me a place to speak freely, God Bless!

You're a good man, Mr. Null. Keep your chin up; this too shall pass, as the random.txt quote says (good job on changing those up, BTW).

All hail Null
Heroes rise again
Obliterating everything
That used to have a dick
No troon can stop you now
No lolcow to bring you down
When there's nothing left to lose
You win

Take a good look at yourself. You've contributed far more to society than some Silicon Valley IT guy who earns thrice the average state salary. You've made real change, it can never be taken away, no matter how much those in power will try to unperson you or rewrite history. They are foolish. The idea cannot be killed. The memories cannot be erased. A person who has tasted freedom if only once, will never feel comfortable in the tight corset of PC speech and 'correct' opinions ever again. If we hold dear that memory of freedom, there is nothing to fear 'for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also' and people will shape the world in accordance with their desires as they have been doing since time immemorial.
