At least it isn't '90s-era Thanksgiving where everybody was going off non-stop about how Thanksgiving should be a day of mourning instead of "celebrating the genocide of native Americans". The PC crowd, which were proto-SJWs, had influenced one of my history teachers in seventh grade, and she would go off on how awful Thanksgiving was, apparently.

This is my favorite holiday. Why is having a big meal with family and not having to do anything all day so bad?

I haven't got anyone to celebrate with this year, so please, enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family and good buddies, and eat lots of good food for me! :^)

Could always hang in here , or in kiwi chat. I imagine you aren't the only 1 so don't feel too bad.

Also at least treat yourself to some chinese food or something if you can afford it.

Sweet potato pie or pumpkin pie?
Not american and haven't had sweet potatoe pie but I like the sound of it a lot more than pumpkin pie, which I have had and found gritty and disappointing and it was made by a bpd sjw upper middle class pain in the arse yank woman.

Loads of the stuff that seems to be served for thanksgiving looks quite mysterious to the English eye. A friend of mine was over there with family and the pictures they took of the dishes were unidentifable. They were black so idk if they have different stuff again. I'd always been under the impression that it was kind of the same as a British Christmas dinner but apparently not so.

I hope you all had a luvaly day

I don't really eat oriental food, plus it just wouldn't feel right either, I might crack open a beer, but I probably shouldn't. Gotta stay frosty these days!

Happy thanksgiving! I have a pie cooling right now, can’t wait to feast in a bit. Hope you all have a good one.

12 years ago sounds so long ago out loud but 2013 does not feel that long ago all things considered. Happy Thanksgiving and may we live to see 12 more of them
