this show is using the modern zoomer version of diversity which is mystery meat mixed race kids and at least two gay characters. not 90s diversity which is burger king kids club, or magic school bus

also this show takes places in the 90s in a smallish town wisconsin. how much you want to bet it's gonna have a gay character coming out of the cloest episode where it's gonna be all cheesy and talk about "oh we all accept you."

just you watch, i mean that's 70s show had it's fair share of gay jokes in it. the 90s gay jokes were still very much in the common vernacular.

4 episodes in so far:The neighbor girl is clearly intended to be Hyde's daughter (he's actually black, remember?). Her half brother is obviously a kelso, as it's mentioned that him and Jackie got divorced and back together. It would also align with Fez being the king of sloppy seconds. Asian fez is not funny. Cameos by the old cast are the only reason I'll keep watching.

2 episodes in, the kelso kid is so far the only one I like, the daughter is alright. The rest are forgettable. The basement circle scene was over played and lacked subtly but I did laugh at the D.A.R.E. shirt. A very 90s joke.

This and biker mice from Mars are getting a reboot show and a new toy line. Is 90s nostalgia going to be milked hard by Hollywood like the 80s? So far, I have seen more 2000s Nostalgia than 90s nostalgia. If anything, the current year's writers seem to hate the 90s for some reason.
