DJ Polo, the DJ and right hand man to the famed and influential rapper Kool G Rap, has unfortunately died.

No cause of death has been given at this time.

An underrated duo from the 80’s, and it actually made Kool G Rap become famous for his multi syllabic, lyrical flows that were popular on the same level as Rakim and Big Daddy Kane.

Either way, in loving memory of DJ Polo.

Travis Scott recently announced on X/Twitter that his critically acclaimed mixtape “Days Before Rodeo” is officially heading to streaming services for its 10th anniversary this Friday.

He also is reportedly doing a special one night concert performance with him reminiscing and playing songs from the same mixtape that brought him into the mainstream.

I find KL overrated but anyone can agree that he is more stereotypical hip hop than Drake.

Famous hip-hop hype man Fatman Scoophas sadly died at the age of 53 after suddenly collapsing while performing at a concert on the weekend in Connecticut

Personally, I always thought he was NY’s version of Lil‘ Jon before I even heard of Lil’ Jon, but he was an entertaining performer nontheless.

He was also best known for being the hype man for the likes of Missy Elliott and Timbaland during the 2000’s dance and ringtone era of hip-hop.
