Downloaded this album based solely on the album cover, was not disappointed, it's like blackened thrash metal

Discovered this band camping the NWOTHM Albums YT channel. Love the Lacuna Coil-esque hooks. Would recommend their album in its entirety assuming you like a more traditional style.

No offense, but is there a better way to discern what you're recommending than skimming around all the weird ambient and unrelated stuff?
Brother, I somehow linked a complete different thing. God forgive me. Must've fucked my clipboard up somehow.
Edit: there is funnily enough an Ian Gillan song on the Blue Dragon Soundtrack called Eternity that I loved as a kid. Not at all what I was trying to post though.

I'd class this as power-prog of some type, you're right about the Lacuna Coil comparison, the vocal bit at 3:52 reminded me of something too.

Latin countries have so many hundreds of bands like this, I ran into this one earlier today when checking associated projects of unrelated groups:

It's not good and nobody who doesn't speak Spanish has ever heard it, but it felt a little uncanny after hearing yours.

What are your favorite Ifernach albums? I just found out about him, he's got a huge discography already, but I have a feeling there's some excellent stuff but also some filler/padding.
For me it's Gaqtaqaiaq. I'm not that interested in the rest of his discography, but this album is one of the best BM albums of the last decade IMHO

Really not fond of the production of that album, it feels weak and messy, that's not how an album should sound for that genre I think

Seconded, it cries out for either a sharp or electro guitar tone with good instrumental separation, maybe a recessed soundstage, 80s style. Not a modern buzzing guitar and fake reverb-y brickwalled acoustic.

The music is interesting, though, I appreciate the recommendation.

My go-to records of Ifernach are the split with Pan-Amerikan Native Front and the other one with Invunche (shout out to Invunche in general!). The Black Metal Butchery is a nice little compilation. From the albums I usually put on Skin Stone Blood Stone but the others aren't really bad either. Haven't listened to the two latest albums yet tho (released last year).

Out of all the bands the guy is involved I like the first Aufnorden demo the most.
