That guy's one of the more prominent black metal/pornogrind schizos around right now. The problem is his stuff is all """ironic""" low effort shitposts. It isn't good or bad enough for anyone to take more than the passing interest. There are a lot of zoomers doing this right now. They heard of BSoD or Apator or whoever, started copying them and dumping shitty demos on bandcamp, but they don't understand what made people interested in those artists to begin with. It all comes across as contrived and lame.

As the year is nearly over I though I put out a little top-10-list but it's now a top-20-list.
At least I bought 19 of these 20 albums and had them playing regularly. 1 album hasn't seen a physical release yet and it only made 1-2 days ago the list bc it was only released like two weeks ago or so but Jesus Christ am I listening the shit out of this record atm.
While putting the list together I noticed that it really emphazises on Black Metal this year. I compared it with my last years lists and they where way more mixed. But this year? 1 more or less Death Metal album and 1 Stoner Doom album. The rest is either pure Black Metal or Black/Thrash or Black Metal inspired.
I really only ranked the first 5 slots, the rest of it is more or less random.
Also it's only albums. No EP's, no splits, no demos, only albums. Although this year saw a shitload of great EPs, splits and demos. I think I bought more of that stuff than actual albums.
I'll split it up in two posts. The 2nd coming later.

VOTHANA "Pestilence" & "Game Over"
Basically every Vothana release is the same: straight forward (NS) Black Metal in your face. "Game over" is the final album and more or the less the final release (one split with Absurd is coming soon but it was announced before the GO album) as Kenny Vu has decided to end the band after nearly 20 years. GO stuck a bit more with me bc of the sentiment that it's the last release.
DARKTHRONE "Astral Fortress"
I'm a Darkthrone ultra die hard fan. DT can't do no wrong in my books. I don't care what others have to say about DT. AF feels slower, more midtemp than the last two albums but even more old-school metal than before. Sometimes I'm into a new DT album immediately, sometimes it needs to grow on me and AF is one that needs to grow.
DEATHHAMMER "Electric Warfare"
It's Deathhammer. No experiments, same old razorshape Black/Thrash Metal and same shitty cover artwork as always. You either like it or you don't.
KONFESSION "Wenn die Schatten rufen"
Austria has a nice little underground (Black) Metal scene growing atm, lots of younger bands, bringing some fresh wind with them (check out the circle around the guys from KRINGA]. WDSR has tons of 90s Norwegian Black Metal and tons of harsh and unfiltered 80s BM moments, mixed with some trashy and punkish vibes, covered in mountain mysticism It's a nice blow back to earlier (and better) times.
ABSURD "Schwarze Bande"
Actually I'm not that much of an Absurd fan. I mean, I have most of their releases but yeah. I don't know what to think about all the Batushka-like drama here but I also don't really care. Anyway, the new album from Hendrik-Absurd is pretty rad. Straight forward and catchy riffs everywhere. Was my this years to-go-album when being a manly man and doing weightlifting.
EINSATZGRUPPEN "A final stand in valor"
I think I posted this album a few weeks ago ITT and since I discovered it I listened a lot to it. But it was a bit of a pain to get the CD for some reasons. Great catchy NSBM that reminded a lot of BILSKIRNIR and early MARDUK.
This last song is a total banger. I mean, the whole album is great but the last song is easily the best one.
SALE FREUX "Le corbeau clandestin"
Melancholic weird Black Metal (no gay DSBM!) from France with the most obscure vocals. Lyrics are all about how the modern world sucks and wandering is cool and getting drunk and ravens because ravens are cool.
WIZARD MASTER "Phasmatis"
It's simple: if your whatever Doom bands sound like Electric Wizard worshipping Black Sabbath I'm into it. No questions asked and take my money.
If you don't like or are fed up with all this Black Electric Sabbath Wizard bands you don't need listen a single second of this album.

PÖLTERWYTCH "5 curses of the Pölterorgel"
Punkish lo fi Black Metal with lots of spooky organs. Very evil, very catchy.

Bilskirnir's disco is flawless. "Atavismus des Glaubens" (Atavism of faith) is my favourite Bliskirnir record.
