The only black metal on my Wrapped was Burzum so I'm correcting that now by blasting a fuck ton of old school Immortal
Was still my top genre, but the only arist in the top 5 was Lord Belial. While I had listened to them in the past, I definitely got more into them this year.

Now wait just a GOD DAMN MINUTE.

I think I found the death metal version of the Ho from Tupac's "All About U." Check this out: it looks like the same dude to me.

Agree, their new album was really fucking good. Saw them last year and was wowed.
Trivium’s new album is fucking awesome. Best metal album of 22.

On a side note, I recently relistened to “Somewhere in Time” by Iron Maiden. Such a good album.

Trivium is a pretty good band but imo they peaked at Shogun and that is still their best work.

I am still salty that i couldn't see them live. They were booked in my country and i had a ticket but the whole affair was a shitshow of mismanagement and the band had to cancel literally at the last minute.

This band is so awesome. There is nothing about Aztec society that didn't suit itself to metal. I loved that I learned a poem out of it.

Do we really live on earth?
We won't be here forever?
We are only here for a short time
Even if it is jade
It will be broken
Even if it is gold
It will be crushed
Even if it is a Quetzal feather
It will be... Destroyed
No, we are only here a short time
To be born in our homes
They are in the beyond
In the world of the slaughtered
I suffer
Happiness, good fortune never come to me
I have come here
To fight in vain
This is not the place to reach things
Surely nothing green grows here
Nothing, nothing, nothing!
Misfortunes flourish
Nothing green grows here!

Had no idea there was a "Bay Area Thrash Revival" in 2008 until I heard this randomly one day on DeathFM. Pretty solid thrash and kind of timeless.
