That Metal Thread

I can't really call myself proper metalhead because out of those big 4 thrash, the only band I extensively listened to was Megadeth. I liked Slayer's sinister intro riffs in lot of their songs but random notes noodling solos ruined my enjoyment of the songs. I liked a lot of older Metallica songs in pre-justice for all era but still I don't like them all that much. And I only listened probably one Anthrax song and that was it. I'm more into Swedish death metal.
Honestly I've only fully listened to a few Slayer albums, not bad but I don't really find myself returning to them. Just can't be bothered to listen to the others extensively. I imagine that's a big sin but I just don't care enough. Which isn't to say I don't enjoy a few songs from those bands but I suppose I'm just too set in my ways.

New Castle Rat

Christian Mistress also released an album this year. Not nearly as good as their old stuff but I'm just glad that they're back together.

Found another one of Abysmal Specter's side projects. Very groovy.

Despite giving my rankings of the Big Four, I really don't listen to that much thrash. I prefer speed or 1st wave black metal if I want the fast riffs.

Warning posted at the end of July that they're coming back with a new album:
Legendary British Doom quartet WARNING sign to Relapse Records.
WARNING will begin recording their first new album in 20 years later in 2025 & back catalogue physical reissues coming soon! The digital catalogue is available now on all streaming services.
WARNING is spearheaded by Patrick Walker (also of 40 Watt Sun), who comments:
“After seventeen years of focusing my attention and energies on other endeavours, production is well underway on a new Warning album, and I'm pleased to find a home for the band with Relapse Records, who will be releasing this long-awaited follow-up to 'Watching from a Distance', as well as reissuing the band's back catalogue. Considering the quality and integrity of their releases, I feel privileged, and am grateful to Relapse, for honouring and preserving my past work, and for their trust and confidence in this next chapter of my musical journey.”
WARNING will perform at Damnation Festival in the UK this November, where they will debut new material alongside the Watching from a Distance album in its entirety.
Stay tuned for more WARNING news in the near future.
The current line up for WARNING is:
Patrick Walker - Guitar and Vocals
Marcus Hatfield - Bass
Wayne Taylor - Guitar
Andrew Prestidge - Drums

Anyone go to Metal Threat? I only stayed for Thursday and Friday, Despite only going for 2 of the 4 days, and more than half the acts get their visas denied/backed out, it was a very entertaining festival. If not for the organizer retiring from running shows, I would go again. Seeing GBK, Arghoslent & Graveland in one festival was something to be seen.

Watched the Argho set, it was great. They even introduced Hyenas of the Aurunci with a tribute to Iryna Zarutska, and the crowd chanted her name.

Fetal Alcohol SHARTchives are NOT taking this well:

Raging faggotry. MA is such a joke. As far as Blackbraid, I really don't understand the hype. Well, I do-the "indigenous" gimmick and all that. But musically? Sterile and soulless. No atmosphere. Black metal for people who don't like black metal. And wasn't Jon Krieger booted from a festival for being a drunken jackass and cried racism?

He's not even Indian. He's a Mexican that was adopted by two white teachers as a toddler.

Black Braid isn’t even anything thematically revolutionary. Xibalba Itzaes has been doing the indigenous nationalism thing since goddamn ‘93 and actual good bands make posers mad like Volahn playing a show with Paul Waggener or Kūka'ilimoku telling white cucks to fuck off. Black metal is inherently racist.

Lol the Antifa crybabies are crying about how Metal Threat was allowed to exist. But I also came across this retard who started a bitch storm about how neo-nazis were allowed to perform while his shows get cancelled for "less".

I don't know anything about this situation, so please tell me I understand this correctly: Riggins calls concerts attendants "cowards" because they don't want the event assaulted by Antifa?

Pretty much, this guy does not know what he is talking about. The location for the event did not change for 4-5+ months. Plus the security was 7 local cops, who were very chill for the entire festival. I find it funny they are painting Metal Threat as some White power festival, but was not even close. The only bands you could argue as being racist was GBK, Arghoslent, Crucifier? and Graveland?. Everyone else was just fuck you black metal/death metal. The band Engorge came out with this shirt, I love it. Plus, Every creed of people was there (white, black, brown, yellow) and everyone had a good time, no violence, everyone got along.
