That Metal Thread

Of course.

The joke is porn.

On one hand it might be frustrating that trannies, particularly MtFs, love metal so much, but on the other is it not totally in line with what they are? They are still men, and completely unhinged men that allow themselves to be completely driven by emotions and rage towards anything they can lay their fingers on, and that is the most masculine trait a man can have, so it's not surprising at all that they'd probably fall in line with similarly angry and violent music. So much for having a "female brain." YWNBAW.

>slam metal album about Fallout New Vegas
>made by a tranny

What the fuck is it with this game and troons? Was there some subliminal messaging that I was somehow inoculated against when I played it?
Reddit and YouTubers were sucking that games cock from the 2010s until the present day, so that part makes sense to me. Kinda confused why a troon would do slam.

In my experience I've only ever seen troons at the most normiest of normie metal shows like Dethklok, Alestorm or Jinjer (I swear I don't like Jinjer I just went with a friend who wanted to see them please don't make fun of me). I haven't seen a single tranny at shows for even the most surface level extreme metal bands (like Obituary or Suffocation), let alone local band line-ups. As far as my area goes, the troons around here are fucking tertiary POOOOOOOSERS. Maybe they're afraid to come face-to-face with the hot goth chicks they're horrendously failing to imitate; the juxtaposition between some fucking hulking ogre in Doc Martens, fishnets and sloppily applied make-up and a TRVE & honest woman pulling off the look they're going for effortlessly is hilarious to see in person.

Anyway, thread tax. I'm late to the party with this one, but I've been blasting this slam EP quite a bit and I haven't seen it posted here.
Cavemode - Bloodspiller

I was just watching two guitar playthroughs by Chris Beattie from Dreamer and was again reminded that vidoes of that kind are seriously overproduced.

Dreamer - Hollow
Dreamer - Apex

This video by Tom "Fountainhead" Geldschläger is a good analysis of this trend.

I also agree with this guy almost 100%

Those videos are supposed to promote a product, not show you how talented a musician can be. I don't get much out of that. It's like looking at a woman caked in makeup and thinking "I guess she MIGHT be attractive, but it's really hard to tell". And, same as musicians, the few who actually look good end up appearing as fake as the less attractive ones.

Where I live (a "hipster" city) the metal scene was full of troons two decades before that was cool. It's a very extreme expression of the most aggressively male fetish, in some cases.

Their bands were never good though. "Spectacle" stuff, like Alice Cooper (but not good like Alice Cooper.)

I'm sure I've posted this before but I'm posting it again cause it's my favorite trash album and I've got a good buzz on listening to it again. WHAT A HOOK

I thought I didn't like Autopsy until I discovered their demos sound better than their full releases. They might surprise you if you know the flat bass-heavy style that they became known for.

Some other good sounding early DM demos, either standout sound quality or just unimprovable performances and atmosphere:

(If you're like me and got into BM first, it's surprising how many DM demos are good-faith attempts to capture the music properly)

Part 2 because I reached the embed limit, sorry for double post. It's kind of insane how many listenable demos there were from early 90s dm, frequently in better performances than the band's full lengths.

Holy shit we're going all the way back to Peace Sells with this one. Skaters, punk influence, guitar solos forever those vintage vocals. I kind of dig it. I haven't really liked any of their recent albums, but I may have to check this one out.
I love Megadeth and all, but Dave's never been a great singer, and his voice is fucking horrible now that he's old. I wanted to like it but I was kinda just cringing the whole time. It also doesn't help having a 60~ year old man in a skatepark.

I wanted to like it going in, but it gave me visceral negative reaction. Guitar work solid as always though.

I wish we could back and time and make Dave do a cover of Ride the Lightning with Marty Friedman when he could still manage to sound good.

Music's good, though I wish it were a bit faster. I do wish Dave wasn't doing vocals on it, it just feels mediocre and a bit lifeless.

Ya I get it. I consider this sort of like their cover of No More Mister Nice Guy, a fun little jaunt not to be taken too seriously. As far as his voice goes, I mean he is in his 60's now his voice was bound to degrade after a while. Have you heard James Hetfield lately? I love Metallica but he needs to hang that voice up and retire.

Oh I agree. Personally I think a lot of these older bands should just retire cause the vocals aren't there, and, while they can write a good song or two, the rest of the album they release in their later years are utterly forgettable. Shoot, I didn't even know Judas Priest had another album after Firepower, that's how forgettable all these late career albums have been for these kinds of bands.
