There was a 20th anniversary edition remaster of Slave Design last year and earlier this year they officially reunited to make some new music, so expect a new album soon. Now that's a name I was never expecting to see again. I used to listen to Sybreed quite a bit in my Meshuggah fueled proto-djent youth. Hell I'll still stand by Antares.

I am still going through the albums released this year. As far as individual songs are concerned, Beast in Black's "Enter the Behelit" is pretty fucking great:With the month over halfway through and the year wrapping up, what has been everyone's favorite metal album/ep/song/release of 2025?
I hate that I missed them at ProgPower the year I wenti hope hansi kursch and jon schaeffer become friends again so we can maybe get another Demons & Wizards album. the ones they did make are so fucking good.
It's funny how despite having an explicit Berserk reference in the title, they had to go and make "legally distinct" Fasca and Kuts for the animated video.I am still going through the albums released this year. It's an official collaboration as far as I can tell and what a quick google search could tell me. So okay....It's funny how despite having an explicit Berserk reference in the title, they had to go and make "legally distinct" Fasca and Kuts for the animated video.
I don't listen to hundreds of albums per year, so maybe I missed it, but the Eurobeat influence sounds pretty new and fresh to me. It is certainly cheesy, but if you don't like power metal in general, I can see that that song wouldn't be to your liking.Aside from that it sounds like very generic cheeseball power metal.
