Absolutely. I know there’s multiple layers to this whole phenomenon but without derailing any further, you can still be metal and blasphemous to secular liberal society by denouncing Christianity as jewish, humanitarian, and practiced by niggers. Hell, throw in some esoteric hitlerism too about how Lucifer is the god of the Aryans.

@Ahriman and unblackened metal is inherently poser.
>denouncing Christianity
>word salad of ideologies
>never denouncing any other religion

I wonder who could be behind this post.

Also, special mention to Vomitorial Corpulence, never heard of these guys before.

Imo peak Polish death metal is personally Decapitated's first four records, but unfortunately they didn't have the appealing imagery Behemoth had to make them essentially the Slipknot of Poland like how Behemoth is
I'm a Vader enjoyer, you almost can't go wrong with them, their Death/Thrash is so fun

Old Decapitated was amazing.

I remember keeping this album on repeat for months on end.

Not a fan of their 90s records, but I do distinctly remember their Litany album sounds just like Decapitated

Post-bus accident Decapitated just isn't Decapitated. this was the last true Decap record. Also dont know if it's just me, but there's a song called Day 69 on here and that shitbag ass rapper 6ix9ine ended up using that for a mixtape title. I wonder if he was directly referencing the Decapitated song with it 🤔

My nigga, all you had to do was read two more words…
My contention is using Christianity as any kind of rebellion which is utterly impotent.

I understood what you meant. BM as we know it has become an artistic framework, but its users tend to gravitate towards the same tropes and at this point, it's less of "I deny your god" and more of "waaah I am still mad to my parents about going to church on sundays".

This is more like it, at least they were more creative about it.

This album popped up in my mind after sharing those Enslaved and Storm tunes.

"The bell song".

Just to switch gears a bit, another one that takes me back to those years:

I have never really given Doom Metal bands a fair chance.

Checking Devourment since someone mentioned them, their last full length is not to be slept on. Way more than just standard slam, crushing soundscapes.

Only slam that ever really clicked with me

Isn't Trey Azathoth asperger ? Why is the best Death Metal band of all time full of autists, and why am I not surprised at all ?
The surprise is that Trey still hasn't trooned out, he has EVERY SINGLE red flag

Doom is what turned me into a proper metalhead and broke me out of scenecore shit. Like getting my face melted by Saint Vitus or Electric Wizard and realizing oh this is what heavy means, not being brööötul.
I'll recommend Trouble and Candlemass.
Thanks for sharing, frens. I'll give these a proper listen.

For one reason or another I've never got 'round to actually paying attention to Doom and Gothic Metal.

Same with Danzig. It's like - I know I'll definitely enjoy their stuff but I just never stopped and listened.

Years and years of Death Metal (exhibit A) turned my ears into mush, to the point where if it doesn't sound br00tal as fvkk it doesn't quite click in me.

Hooded Menace is a good entry point into doom as a death metal fan. A lot of Finnish DM too, it’s slower and more crushing.
