why do people like blood incantation? what the fuck is wrong with them
I never understood the hype, either. I'll admit to enjoying Starspawn when it came out but it wasn't long before I forgot about it. It just wasn't memorable enough to become a staple. And Timeghoul were doing the whole sci-fi death metal thing some twenty years before (and doing it better).

I went to see them because Pallbearer was opening for them and the show was in a cave. Don't care for their albums, but it was a great live show. Including the song intro "Here is Giza Power Plant, which, to the best of my knowledge, has never been performed in a cave."

I probably wouldn't see them again unless they were with a band I actually liked, but they put on a good show.

Yes, they’re probably the band I’m looking forward to the most along with Tankard. They’re doing a ‘Force From Hell’ set and I really hope to hear Let There Be Death and Contract in Blood.

The fires are burning deep down in hell, the Warlords are ready to rise. Probably the greatest opening to any album ever.

ALSO, going to do my best to avoid powerleveling or doxxing myself, but if any of you see me, I will buy you a beer or whatever you’re drinking.

On the same subject, I never got why Timeghoul has such a cult following either.

It's crazy how almost nobody knows about Dad's Weird Dream, not even hardcore powerpoppers know this band.

We never talk enough about Absu. This is the best Black Thrash band ever.
Saw them last year. Great band. I wish that little dude would’ve been on drums too, I thought he still sang and played at the same time. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of sound problems during their set and I only caught about 15~ minutes.

Curious how the local scene is for other people... there's a small show happening with a bunch of local bands, it's a mismatch of metal subgenres and they all don't really sound good but I'm going anyways.

Last time I lived in a city large enough to have a scene, it was 95% stoner rock/metal, one USPM group that broke up after recording an EP, and some emo band.

Really great for me. I'm in a town in France, we have many very good playing regularly here. Since it's way smaller than the US, it's easier for us to see French bands. And there's many good ones coming from my town.
