Reinkaos is terrible, and it got panned when it came out, but I'm seeing a lot of people re-appraise it these days. Not even the sort of people who are usually forgiving of overly polished melodeath crap. I mean hairy cavemen with Incantation patches on their vests.
I'm thinking they're more in love with the "dangerous" mythos surrounding Jon than the actual music.

Not their best for sure, but I do kinda like Maha-Kali. It's just so stupid, but in that good way.

Jumping back in to this thread to let any crusty Varg fans know that the powers that be finally seem to have released the pre burzum/early burzum Uruk Hai cassette without the janky audio watermarks

New Darkthrone album coming.
Single is so-so.

I've been getting in to Sodom again recently, great fucking band, used to listen to them all the time when I was younger.

I don't give a shit if this is a game song, this is the best Slayer song I've heard in forever and overall one of my fave albums this year.

i'm a lifelong darkthrone-fan, only checked out sodom a few times and it never clicked for me, but the song you posted there was awesome. i should check out more stuff like that.

it inspired be to listen to these tracks:

norwegian crazy black-thrash dungeon banger, frostbitten and grim but with the testosterone and heart of thrash:

Old swedish deathy thrash/thrashy death, respectable sinister riffs and chad vocals;

straight orthodox norwegian black metal:

lmao what is this shit

Oh hey even better the tracks are ordered so you're getting every cover of one song in a row. That's what we need, six shitty versions of Enter Sandman end on end.

Fuck me Metallica are the gift that keep on giving. At least the proceeds for the album are going to charity I guess, but who in their right mind would ever want to buy this?

I like it's advertising the idea of "so many possibilities!" but it's just Enter Sandman and Sad But True over and over.

Anyways, I've been enjoying Helloweens three lead guitar players and three lead singers self titled album a lot the past week. Robot King is fun.

Prompted me to dig out my Edguy CDs and make the mistake of reading woke retards review some of their stuff and get butthurt from humorous lyrics:

As of late I've found that my country offers a really varied and great assortment of metal bands and wanted to share some of them with you, though you may not understand the lyrics I think the music still holds up.

First off, there's GÜEMES, named after an argentinian revolutionary leader, their latest 2 albums are pretty solid and they're still active to this day.

Then there's Del Pantano (from the swamp), pretty good doom band, worth a listen if you're into the genre.

The most famous band here is Tungsteno, a speed/thrash focused band and my personal favorite, they have a new album in the works.

For Death fans Lesa Humanidad exists achieving great quality in spite of not having as big or popular a scene as thrash here.

And finally we have Crisis, a now inactive band due to the passing of the lead guitarist and vocalist, awesome thrash.

Argentina and no mention of the big boys like Hermetica, Malon, V8, Rata Blanca, Horcas or Alma Fuerte? Come on now. Or maybe you just wanted to promote lesser known bands.

Here's a few lesser known Argentine bands I've enjoyed over the years.

Good choices.

South America as a whole has great bands.

One thing I like about the genre, it's pretty universal so its always fun hearing other cultures takes on it and adding their own flair like Sepultura and Angra adding brazilian rhythm sections in some songs.
