there are scenarios where a woman would have a medical reason for aborting a 24 week old fetus, so that's certainly a 'need'.

should a mother have to suffer carrying and then giving birth to an unwanted child who will then most likely live a difficult life due to not being wanted? should a mother then have to suffer all the side effects post-pregnancy? there's an awful lot of concern for a fetus that isn't sentient than for the woman that carries it.
