Do you not understand yeeting fertilized embryos is outright banned in like 15 states now? It is not remotely close to a 12 week ban.


Nobody is pushing for "abortions until birth". This is a geriatric boomer talking point. Abortion is banned in cali and NY after the 22nd week. New Jersey is the only state you mentioned with no limits. But there's about 5 doctors in the US that will do abortions after 20 weeks anyway. And that doesn't happen unless there is something seriously wrong.

So you refuse to take an actual stance, and just want to return to the status quo where judges liked to claim that abortion should be at will up until birth.
How about having a moral foundation before you you get so frantic about a topic, anyone who thinks about the matter for a second and doesn't just act on emotion should be able to formulate a rough idea of how the law should work and why your personal ethics have reached such a conclusion

There are 7 states without limits on abortion in the U.S. Also, here is an article saying that abortion should be allowed until birth:

It seems like arguing about bodily autonomy rather than whether or not the fetus is a person naturally leads to abortion until birth, since the argument of bodily autonomy applies throughout the entirety of the pregnancy regardless of when the fetus becomes a person.

My moral stance is that it's not the government's business what consenting adults do with their bodies. The Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Convention are not my doctors. Also, I already talked about the dementia ridden "abortion until birth" red herring.

I have talked about bodily autonomy and the "abortion until birth" red herring. The truth is that this all is a solved issue that only fringe elements want to keep going. Like 90% of abortions were done before 12 weeks and the rate of abortion overall had been falling consistently for decades due to better public health access and health education. Coincidentally 2 things red states tend to fall behind in.

I find it telling the anti-abortion movement's strategy to reduce abortion relies almost solely on lobbying the government for criminalization. You don't really see them lobbying for more public health access, education, maternal leave, more services. They might pay it some lip service but their core strategy to reduce abortion has always come from the barrel of a government gun.

Women seem to have an almost genetic aversion to personal accountability. I remember as a young man a girl attempting to cheat on her fiance with me, laid down on her bed, and told me "You can do anything to me you want. But I'm not taking responsibility"

Why is it society's job to handle your lack of personal responsibility?

I'm not even pro abortion but is there some reason you or your partner are unable to use the several dozen or so easy and cheap contraception methods? If you engage in reckless behavior and refuse to take any precautionary measures why does society owe you a solution?

Why are you personally that important?

Ask yourself why it took 50 years for Roe v. Wade to be enacted into federal law. All of this could've been avoided if the government actually did right for its citizens instead of dangling the keys for years. Hell, an agreement was being finalized to recognize abortion for 12 weeks federally I believe. Democrats said no, so now Republicans have gotten a win out of pure spite.
