Not all women want to have children either. I know it's a shocker for some to accept, but abortions just don't occur do due poverty or ''problems in the world that need to be fixed'' like one poster above me is suggesting. Women aren't obligated to reproduce. That's hard for some to accept but it's apart of our reality.

I happen to know a woman who was diagnosed with BPD and she's a wonderful mother. It's not like it's an organic illness with a possible genetic component; it's a personality disorder. I'm not trying to convince you to have kids (please don't) but that's a stupid reason.

Here's the only reason you need to give: "I don't want kids."

I don't think "your parents thought and acted like you were a mistake" is very treatable, to be honest, and I do say that with the deepest of empathy. I've known three people like that, two from a young age. I honestly wish, but am not sure it's something that one can really recover from. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I can definitely see the desire and wish to prevent that from happening.
