Let's take massively generous numbers. Like multiple orders of magnitude generous. Let's say that 50% of women would opt for "back alley abortions" if they're illegal and let's be massively generous and say that 50% would die in them.

Let's also be massively generous and say that 5% of women that give birth die.

You get to at most (50% baby death from abortions + 25% mothers died from abortions, 2.5% mothers death from birth). You get to 77.5% compared to the deaths from abortions.

And these numbers are inflated to insane degrees.

On top of that, people would start to modify their behaviour to better prevent unwanted pregnancy.

It was a commie shithole but them banning abortion undeniably cost the the lives of thousands of women and girls. Even to this day unsafe abortions are actually the 3rd leading cause of maternal death worldwide, every year thousands of women and girls die almost exclusively in countries where abortion is heavily restricted or banned entirely.

For as much as y'all claim to care about kids you sure as fuck don't seem at all concerned with little girls who die from unsafe abortion or in childbirth.

A fertilized embryo is as much a potential human life as you are, considering your lack of development and mental abilities. So I wouldn't judge them too harshly.

Because unique DNA doesn't make you a person. Corpses have unique DNA, they aren't people (not anymore anyway). Certain body parts of people with chimerism have unique DNA and they sure as fuck aren't people either. Same with fertilized eggs that naturally get yeeted by the body all the time, often before ever implanting in the uterus (I think I've mentioned that's how plan B works, it discouraged fertilized eggs from implanting in the uterus and starting a pregnancy).

Shit, I'd even argue that anencephaly babies are less people and more corpses that keep themselves fresh (at least for a little while) since they completely lack all parts of the brain needed for conciousness and awareness and have only a brain stem and a gaping hole instead.
