By falling back on the classic "The unresolved plotlines are the point, chud. It's all symbolic of what the characters are going through," completely ignoring that the ending of No Mouth does actually resolve its plotlines by having Ted kill all the other characters to free them from AM, so it's just the two of them trapped forever as immobile beings who hate their lives, but who at least managed to get a final "Fuck you" in to each other.
This was a massive mistake to post in hindsight really, earlier episodes gave off the vibe that the show is going to be an ensemble cast with Pomni as our "Audience Surrogate" MC, and this post ensured the audience to that idea that no one will be underused, but the show became more Jax-centric by episode 5 onwards, which started complaints that other characters are getting shafted, which resulted in that interview where he finally clarifies Pomni and Jax are the main stars, resulting in even more drama when they realize he was actually just lying to them earlier.
are there any plotlines that are going to be unresolved at this point, it seems there are only two of them, Cast vs Caine, and Cast vs Jax, and all the lingering character arcs besides Jax has been 100% solved, no matter how haphazard it was done.
There is zero fucking excuse for Jax's dream sequence in E7 to be an entire minute and forty seconds, much less in 60fps. They could have easily cut that in half or even to a third and had the episode shipped out several weeks sooner.
To piggyback off what others said, marketing. When the show first came out everyone and his mother drew Pomni. As much as I want to say that she could be nix’d in favor of Jax being the new/“introductory” character, there’s no question that a sad, scared clown with a basic color scheme has more appeal than Dark Max.
I’ll be blunt, he’s going to pull a cop out. Either some variation of “oOoOo they really are in a simulation there’s no escape OoOoO” or he’ll sacrifice some to “free” the others. Taking column A over column B.

Facts. You just put down one of the biggest problems I have with these projects. It’s entirely possible to put care into your shit. Look at Zeurel and Jorge R. Gutierrez. Sure one’s relying a lot on visual storytelling and callbacks (don’t get me wrong, animation is obviously a visual medium, I’m just saying he’s leveraging it a lot), and the other actually has show creation/writing experience. But it’s possible. It can be done.
He's the guy behind Monkey Wrench right?, I found his show boring and dropped it after the 1st episode, and saw him then lowkey e-beg online for other people to watch his show when it didn't get as popular as he would have liked.
I really have to wonder how much, if any, of indie projects are written out in their entirety, go through an editorial process, and are subsequently redrafted. So often it feels like they're just making shit up as they go along. IIRC allegedly Goose wrote the entire plot out ahead of time, but him deliberately going out of his way to fuck with fan theories indicates otherwise.
It picked up a lot in Episode 5. Not to get off topic but there’s an actual human character and they used exposition, details like “No Terran” signs and the human’s obscured face in 3(?), even some color theory to make it so that the backstory affects the main story. They also: fractured the main characters’ relationship, actually revealed what the cargo was and why it mattered, showed what the main characters were thinking about with signs at this hospital instead of using expository dialogue, and at this point they’re stranded in the Not-Necron Zone with one of them unconscious. Some of it is basic on paper and relies on being sci-fi rather than a regular comedy, but honestly they’re actually delivering, which is a plus.
I think a lot of it is pantsing, but also an overcorrection from the days when suits had the final say in everything. While I don’t know why he’d want to fuck with fan theories, that raises the question of what he’s actually trying to say in general.
This kind of shit always happens when a showrunner/developer is a tranny. I'm more curious over what Glitch's plan is in general. TADC is easily their most popular show, their other pilots have been decently popular but nowhere near to the same scale. As is, Glitch has become THE sacred cow of indie online animation, and TADC's sheer popularity will probably carry the show from inertia alone even if it's last couple of episodes are duds. I'm curious how they've arranged who gets the rights to the show, if Glitch entirely possesses them I have to wonder if they'll try to brute force a second season with or without Goose's involvement in the event that their other endeavors don't work out.
