I'm not a writer, but I think you shouldn't use Glitch shows as examples of good writing, and even less so use them yourself, as an aspiring writer, as your inspiration for your future projects. Ugh, it reminds me of people who used (and still use to some extent) stuff like Steven Universe or Netflix She-Ra as examples of good writing.

i hate video esssay people is my take. specially this kind. I saw a vid come up in autoplay recently that claimed jax's pupil size was tied to him lying about stuff when they literally change in the animation every 5 fucking seconds because he's a wacky expressive rabbit guy and animated as such.

matpat and breadtube were a disaster for game and cartoon coverage and talk in general overall. We will never recover.

These people give this series and its creator way more credit than they really deserve.

It's because they're riding the engagement algorithm farm train and don't actually care about the actual content of the wacky Internet cartoon.

No no here was actually a mini character arc in the gun episode where jax showed her the VR simulation they're stuck in works on cartoon logic and it's ok to shoot people in a game that's literally just VR laser tag since none of them can actually die from it. he then had a little meltdown and did the "OOOH JUST SHOOT ME AND WIN CAUZ I MAKE PEOPEL SUFFER GRRR" after she got close with him because his friends fucking abstracted.

I mean it's not much but it's nice that she stopped being a pussy and realized it was ok to shoot people in the "shoot people" game.

Like it kinda infuriates me cause you can tell blatantly how he's lying even without his big old eyes in the scene because immediatly afterwards the facade breaks and he's like "FFUCK!" and holding back crying. Like it's not even tied to his eyes the show blatantly telegraphs when Jax is doing dercopensneedin.

I didn't realize it was a commion thing for the fans to hate jax for doing family guy funny moments shit like the deep fryer to try to get out of work scene either till i skimmed this vid just now out of curiousity and also saw similar comments a few times in unrelated places.

I mean, the show is entertaining, it can be very good even, but if anyone unironically thinks this is groundbreaking in any way, they genuinely need to start reading books, or at least watch other shows.

Pomni went from being desperate to leave to kind of accepting she was trapped? That's it. Really? That's what impressed them? It's not terrible by any means, to be fair. It's just not that impressive. Other shows have villains redeeming themselves, or heroes coming to terms with grief, and loss, or how their world view is shattered. Pomni just go used to the place.

There's nothing particulary excepcional about Pomni's arch, except from the fact she is from a popular show. It's not unique, or specially complex, or moving in anway. Pomni doesn't even have the best arc in her own show, that would be Caine, let alone others.

I want to believe it's just a YouTuber trying to milk ad revenue from a popular show. But unless you are a zoomer or a kid and this is genuinely one of the first shows you have ever watched, there's no excuse to be impressed by this.

She didn't try to befriend kinger, she was stuck with him and saw his sane side. She never tried to talked with him again until she needed info on caine.

I have genuinely no clue wtf you mean with "no one expected ragatha to show genuine kindness until pomni arrived". Ragatha was seen as fake by pomni, gangle and jax until, by convenience she is stuck with sane Kinger, who gave her some pep talk and she's chill now. No one remarks that again.

You sneakly don't bring a zooble example because it doesn't exist lol. I'm not sure zooble and pomni ever have a 1 on 1 conversation in the entire show.

People looked up to her in episode 8 because this was her plan, not because she was this super beloved leader who helped all of them sort their traumas.

I'm not even shitting on pomni or anything but framing Pomni like this is unhinged. It's like this person watched a completely different show than me. "Experiencing the world around her and learning, we see the world through her and grow with her" is vague nonsense that can be said about any protagonist.

One can say the show had no time to delve deeper into pomni's relationships but you can't praise a show for something it didn't do. People didn't "miss her expertly written character development", you just made up an imaginary one.

When jax had a breakdown and "stopped being friends" it wasliterally to show his jerky behavior is literally something he does to avoid getting close to people in case they fucking abstract like his 2 friends did and it spells it out by him getting mad and tearing up after claiming he enjoys hurting people in the most unsubtle show of "yeah he didn't actually mean that". Like I know I already pointed that out once or twice but it's really fucking simple and does not need a schizo essay trying to frame it like his level of pupil dilation is a lie detector.
