Aha, someone actually said it. Their entire model is predicated off of merch, not so much actual viewership imo. That’s why they keep pumping out so many pilots for all sorts of shit. I don’t know how much taxpayer money is being funnelled into them but it cannot offset all the extra animation cost for all of these shows combined. Is it possible the shows can actually diversify their sales and make up for the loss or TADC money when the show ends? Yes, but short term. they’ll probably burn through any leftover raised liquidity/capital from the theatre sales in a year or two if they keep this up. I mean considering how many pilots they keep putting out I don’t know how they are going to financially not fuck themselves over with expenses if it doesn’t involve some tax book fuckery.

Oh god, and don’t forget the song in episode 8. I’ll bet the whole theater will burst out in song too like the whole Wicked fiasco all over again except somehow more annoying

And then the claps at the end of the movie, except half the people there will be on the spectrum so they’ll probably stim and flap their hands high and proud

Could be worse... I doubt anyone is going to get up and scream " Its kinger" and set the theater on fire like that did with the chicken jockey in Minecraft.
 
The more its discussed, the more I realize that with how much is riding on Digital Circus' theater release, how loud or toxic the fans will be during the showing can potentially ruin Glitch's whole push to get Indie animations to be more mainstream.

The Minecraft movie could be chalked to an exception. After all, video game adaptations have existed for years, and that was, to my knowledge, one of the only times when things got really bad.

The Digital Circus movie is trying to be a representative for other Indie animations and set a precedence for how theater screenings of independent animation movies of its kind is going to go. Imagine how many years that idea would get sent back by if there was some kind of major incident during the showing.

If you mean the quality of the movies? No. They were awful for a long time. Just look at 90% of Uwe Boll's career.

If you mean the fanbase. I'm not so sure. The bad behaviour of cinema goers has been joked about for years. Kids running up and down isles. People talking. People on their phones. Teens flicking sticky popcorn at people. People rustling crisp packets. People arriving late or going to the toilet repeatedly.

Things like Chicken Jockey and Morbin Time were acts for social media.

I've been to two movies this year, and both times people were extremely well behaved. None of that nonsense.

It's so unbelievably gay and unprofessional how Cooper and the voice actors keep spoiling fucking everything.

Can the spastics shut up for a couple of months until the episode is out? It's already hinted that Jax might fuck this up, but it hurts interest if literal people in charge of the show just outright confirm stuff that had a chance of not even happening.

Now I know that, nearly without doubt:
- Jax ruins everything, probably becomes the ringmaster and forces the circus adventures forever
- Rick And Morty Joker piss-and-shit Jax speech because he became an epic atheist nihilist over his twink/goth gf Ribbit being abstracted, or oh god who fucking cares
- It will be revealed that they are just AI brain scan files, and whatever sissiphean speech Pomni is going to give will not matter because nothing ever mattered because all of them were ever real
