You are of course correct they are on a county program for help, that isn't really any thing to sneer at. Go and try to see a shrink with out it, you'd be broke even making a fame 10k a month and there is no real faux paux or what not about saying his worker is also Thumb's worker.

Chances are, Becky is why he went to the worker, and chances are there isn't a fuckton of options in the area. Most county programs have only a few workers at best, and chances are, every one you know who has seen one, saw yours at some point. Mental health professionals either fall into the willing to actually help people, and thus will do county work..or 'fuck if I care, want money' types. Which alot of evolve from willing to help people before they burn out and just want a good paycheck.

Alot of health care doesn't even cover a shrink when it's a more basic program, or people just assume they need one session and ...well...no. Lol.

Also they could have been referred as well via PCD<Primary Care Doctor> who have to work within the limits of an approved list. So again I bet that list in their area is small.

Edit: Actually curious on this; Rickie very likely has fairly decent insurance working in a slaughter house. Does Eric actually receive coverage as a spouse? I'm not clear on their marriage's true legality in kentucky. Any one actually know?

Yah this is what I mean..furthermore, alot of those in LGBT have a very real concern of still being legally married. Your community now knows with out a shadow of a doubt, what you are, family does, etc. It can cause alot of grief for you if not worse.

That said, we also don't know what sort of insurance Rickie has, thus why I am curious if it's been mentioned how good it is over all. I have zero doubts he has very nice health insurance but does it also cover mental health care? It really might not.

Furthermore, it might not even cover Eric, and there can be reasons for that beyond the Welfare scam angle. Eric worked at some point, and he him self might have had healthcare, and thus was not covered under Rickie's healthcare, and he might have elected to continue with it and it has now become the provider for his state sponsored healthcare.

We know Becky receives medication for some sort of mental health issue, right? <Or is it just bp meds?>. If so? There isn't a caseworker giving it out that's for fucking sure.

Though if he means caseworker as in welfare...Rickie clearly doesn't make much then. Google says they can average 15 USD/hr. Which isn't even bad money for a simple job. Just to add to the confusion, there are licensed therapists who are also social workers. I learned that recently from a therapist friend, that it's genuinely a career path. Not all social workers are therapists, of course, and I can't think of a good reason to call your therapist a case worker, but it's possible.

With these goobers, who knows what's really going on. They're still struggling with the idea that words mean things.

Yeah a lot of therapists are techinically LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) but if that was your therapist, you'd call them your therapist. If you're calling them a case manager it's more likely they are functioning solely or primarily as a case manager (commonly referred to as a social worker). It doesn't make sense to call your therapist your case manager.

A case manager (social worker) can refer you to a therapist if they don't offer therapy themselves. And the person they refer you to may be a LCSW.

So it's confusing. I'm just saying if Eric was on his husband's insurance I doubt he'd be heading to the same welfare office as Becky. If your access to care is going to be that shitty why pay your employer for health insurance?

That's assuming Rickie even carries insurance. The premiums might be too much for the money he makes at the slaughterhouse. I wonder if, married or not, they would qualify for Medicaid. IIRC Kentucky didn't approve Obamacare Medicaid expansion, but depending on Rickie's income, and if he and Eric are legally married, they could be considered below poverty line for a household of two (for tax and benefit purposes). In that case, it *might* benefit them to be married, depending on Kentucky's rules regarding Medicaid and public assistance generally.

Ok now that I watched it I don't think it was shade. I think they thought their sarcastic response would humiliate the haydur who asked the question by not dignifying it with a straight answer. It didn't produce the desired effect because they're both as expressive as a wet rag, so the sass falls flat.

Also, can we just take a second to point out how incredibly conceited this manchild is? Right off the bat he says that his complete lack of goals will upset a lot of people, then he acts out an imaginary dialogue with a haydur that was painful to watch. His arrogance is astounding, especially for someone whose life is so incredibly empty. About Eric I agree 100% in everything, was really interesting that in both 5 year and 10 years ahead he didn't saw any glimpse of work (or trying to find one) in his life.

Y'all can flood me with disagree ratings if you want but I don't see why it would be strange. Idk if you guys follow AL and Mumbles anywhere other than on youtube but pretty much on every platform they have a presence on, people ask them the same questions we pose here. Part of it is that for some reason they lurk here and think it's so cool to confront Amber with the points we make, and part of it is that some speculations are so obvious they're bound to occur to other people. You can't possibly expect we're the only ones who think she can't fit in the shower and has to be hosed down out back or has to bathe in a giant bucket or whatever. I don't live with them so I obviously can't know whether they read here or not but I can't tell you how many times I've seen art, comparison pics, stats we look up, etc. being sent to AL on twitter or being reposted in the comments on youtube.
