I've never viewed a live stream funeral.
Did they have her in a casket since I believe it said her wishes were to be cremated?
Or did they have her urn on a table?
Or was I dreaming and thinking of someone else?

Funerals in the South can be something else. Most I've been to are like reunions of sorts. Then sometimes you get a holy roller Baptist preacher lecturing on the plan of salvation.

There was one of those, and he was extremely boring.
Yeah, it was open casket but the camera was far enough away that she was hard to see. And they'll have cremated her after the service. Not sure what happens to the coffin except that the funeral home makes lotsa cash from it.

I'm weird. I love shit like that. I wish I would have gotten into forensic pathology. There's a cool chick on YT. I can't think of her channel name but she posts vids about funerals, embalming and all that.

Destiny definitely stood up to amber a lot more than Becky ever has, she would actually snap back at her and put her in her place whereas Becky just sort of takes it and let’s it go.

I am curious to know how beckys temper will fare without the boys in the house to rant to, I assume they’ll keep in contact with Becky but you can bet amber will wanna hear every phone call and read every message.

Oh the UK is pretty fucked, you won't get any argument from me there but as far as funerals go I guess it's a cultural thing and just what you get used to...

It's not like you don't get to see the person before the service if you want to do that - the norm would be that at any time before the service when the body is with the funeral director you can 'view' - basically a private room with just you and your loved one, then at a set time the casket is sealed for the actual service

With my Dad I saw him maybe three hours before the service, we put some items in with him and said our final private goodbyes there

Idk, for me I think I'd find the actual service distracting if they were there on display like that, but again it's not something we here are used to, so horses for courses

I do echo what @marjoram said though, they really are a shell by that point, the essence of the person you loved is long gone so it's not altogether necessary anyway

It's times like this I love this site. Everyone likes to point at the farms as this place where degenerates meet to troll and torture poor uwu babby trans and fats and whoever else. But when it comes to serious shit, it's clear that not only are we not the ones out there doing the trolling, we actively discourage and ban people for it.

I hope all these bitches are satisfied. They trolled a family who lost their mother just because years ago said mother had a heart big enough to let her daughter's homeless leech of a girlfriend move in. Good job, ambabies. Hope you're proud, cause you attached your name to it.

I have my dad’s ashes and two of my dogs.

Southern ceremonies are weird, particularly Southern Baptist. You are definitely going to get a sermon in the middle of it. The viewing (open casket) usually takes place the day before or hours before. Then there’s the funeral service (may be open casket or it may not). Then of course there’s the graveside service. You just might as well take the full day off work.

ETA: I almost forgot, there’s the food buffet afterwards.

I'm not gonna say I condone the absolute spazznoids seeking out MamaLynn's facebook to post shitty comments, but I can't say that Amber doesn't enjoy it. Any attention is good attention. Getting her mom involved in all of it is just the icing on the cake, it's more drama to keep her relevant when all the cancer asspats subside for being a completely manageable kind of cancer. It would never occur to her that just telling ma to block these people and ignore them would be better for all.
