'The AutistiX’ are a unique rock band. We create our own songs and performs covers. The band’s sound sets us apart, but our 3 youngest members do too: Jack Beaven Duggan, Luke Steels and Saul Zur-Szpiro, all have autism. We are led by a talented singer and mentor, Jim Connelly, and joined by Jack's father, John and Saul's father, Michael. The band was formed in April 2010. Coming together as a band called ‘The AutistiX’ we were keen to be recognised for our musical talent and are proud to include musicians with autism. The band, as well as being creative, provides the chance to develop musically, personally and socially. It is also a bonus for father and son to bond through playing music in the band.

I feel bad for the neurotypical lead signer, nice of him to carry them that hard.

I think they sound pretty tight. I don't really see why they need to show all of their powerlevels when performing though.

Before I even opened this topic I thought I'll bet one of them has a fedora and buck teeth. Fucking nailed it.

It looks like they're using it as both a method for free publicity and a card not to have their music and behavior judged by normal people standards

That'll sure show everyone how strong and talented people with autism can be
It's not the first time a band has used sensitive political issues to their advantage, Pussy Riot was in the news constantly, at least in the UK.

Now is the perfect time for an autistic lesbian souled individual to make it big in the music world!

Autistic musicians like Ladyhawke and Craig from The Vines seem to manage fine without making it their gimmick...

EDIT: apparently Courtney Love is on the spectrum, too.
