I'm glad the makers are confident in their work but 4k for a head and 5k for a partial with no payment plans? That's a yikes from me
Why is Cerberus giving me bedroom eyes

$6000 is a crazy price to pay for a fursuit, or for an even crazier $11000 a plantigrade MixedCandy suit.

Sometimes it's paying for the name, sometimes what drives up the cost is the use of NFT fur which commands a high price due to it being stretchable and very realistic, with spots or patterning adding even more to the cost.

For example one cost $17,500

The owner, Spottacus (who triggers furries by wearing his $100k+ collection of fursuits in public and to work on a regular basis) explains the cost:
my recent Primal Visions cheetah by Lex Rudd. The NFT fur was woven on the loom with spots woven in fiber by fiber on a 4 way stretch backing. The result is a fragile fur but little stitching that fits like a body glove, stretches like dancewear, and feels like cheetah fur to the touch. The fur was over $8,000. With assembly and fees, the suit cost $15,600. Also, there is an arduino system that changes the eyes based on my breathing, growling, and heart rate. It did not fit into the tight head in our first build, but will be installed, and this adds nearly $2,000, for a total of $17,500 (this is the $15-17k suit Patch alluded to.)

This one cost $9k
355px-2012_toofs_the_sabertooth_at_comic_con (1).jpg

The Clockwork Creatures sabertooth by Qarrezel and Matt, the NFT fur and a custom set of handpaws by Lance Ikegawa that had resin claws cast around my fingers so the claws were rock hard, a bit sharp, and dextrous (I could pick up small items with the tips) came to about $9,000.

Edit:
Doing more research, the Mixedcandy auctions that hit big dollar amounts are a result of bidding wars between rich furries trying to flex due to Mixedcandy auctions being high profile events.

The general consensus in the community is that the suits in themselves only have a market value of $6k at most.

At least you get exactly what you paid for with Mixed Candy. K-Line is tragic, these people paid $5-7k per design because this was they thought they were getting:

But then these are what they pumped out for the people who ordered, much to their surprise:

Anyone who dares shit talk the quality of their suits gets hunted down and threatened with a lawsuit for slander. One person who owns a black and white one, I can dig it up if need be, posted that their suit arrived full of holes and it wasn't even the fur they were told it'd have. As an added bonus K-Line ships the fursuits without tracking or insurance, so if they get stolen or lost oh well lol. Serves them right for being both weeaboos and furries.

OMG! the fur fabric is really crap like minky whoever pays $5 - $7k for such a dreadful suit must be mad.

The first suit (the good one) in that post has mink on its belly, face, and toes/fingers. I guess it only looks good in moderation, and putting it on a full-size suit just makes it look like a grotty old pyjama.

The pile they used for these suits is nowhere near the nice quality Minky is, minky is silky smooth not all fleecy like this. I dunno what "fur" they use but it's definitely not minky, shag or beaver. Looks like the cheapest possible crap they can find.

The last picture doesn't look that great at all
It looks very messily made with how shaggy the fur is (it looks more like hair than fur)
