The Beer Thread

I tend to dislike lagers, but I recently discovered Tsingtao. It has quickly become my go-to alcoholic beverage, and I always try to keep a few in the fridge in case I feel like a drink after work. It is very light and crisp, with a really subtle rice flavour.

Incidentally, the Chinese also make my favourite brand of cigarette.

I must be transracial.

Big fan of wheat-beers (especially sour ones) when I can get them: Edelweiss, Alagash, Two Brothers, Shock-Top. Found plenty in the US but not so many in the UK.

I don't mind more regular ales though, common stuff like Doombar and Abbot Ale.

Tannenzaepfle if I can get it, otherwise

I homebrew and between not being very good at it, the worst is waiting on your bottles to condition, then two weeks of cold crashing. Ughhhh it's horrible. Especially since bottling is already so much work, you kinda wanna have some right away. You can, but it's flat until you force carb it by putting it in bottles (or a keg) and the CO2 is forced back into the beer.

I made a strawberry saison that's very light and dry, slightly fruity, and is gonna be great when it's ice cold and Summer is hot as balls.

18 packs of Busch Light bottles were on clearance.
I still miss Aldi Generic Light.

I'm a relative neophyte to beer, but Ballast Point has become my favorite brewery so far. Today I found one of my local grocery stores carries their Victory at Sea imperial porter, and it's absolutely fantastic. I wish they carried the peppermint variant, which I tried once at a bar. The flavor was so fresh; often mint flavors in beer can taste synthetic and syrup-y, but the Peppermint Victory at Sea tasted like someone crushed some peppermint leaves right in my drink. It was one of the best beers I've had.

It also has some dope bottle art imo:

BP's Grapefruit Sculpin is another favorite of mine, definitely my go-to IPA, and easy to find in supermarkets in my area. I don't even like grapefruit normally but the flavor is very subtle, and it compliments the Sculpin extremely well.

Edit:
I really liked Erdinger's Dunkel. Can't seem to find it anywhere now.

It must have made it's way 'States-side, because I had it about a month ago. It was really good iirc.

My favorite beers lately have been Anheuser-Busch Wild Blue and Big Gruesome Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout but I'm actually not picky. Dos Equis is good too but honestly if it is anything but Corona because that shit is literally piss beer.

Corona Familiar is great. 32oz per bottle, dark glass to keep UV thetans from stealing your beer particles. Good stuff.

Grocery store had Magic Hat # 9 buy one get one free six packs.
Labeled a "not quite pale ale" which is good because I don't really like pale ales.
It's not bad. Good for cheaper than a dollar a bottle. Nothing I'd pay full price for.

sorry for doubleposting
