Got my tiny screaming dinosaur a harness, slowly trying to convince him to put his head through the loop with junkfood. Maybe someday.

I wish you luck with that harness! I got one for my wretched taloned bastard a long while ago - he found the joints in the metal rings on it and broke them all open so it was no longer functional. So needless to say when we go out he just angrily sits on my shoulder and glares ruefully at the world.

Tell me, why arent chicken your favourite birds? They are easy to keep, feathery cats who produce delicious eggs. Take the chickenpill now.

I always feel kinda bad working at KFC and having to cook chickens everyday. Not only are chickens the best bird parents up there with mother eagles and Robins. They're just so cluckin funny.

Plus technically speaking the chicken is the closest living realative to the tyrannosaurus Rex...by which I mean they're rexy's third cousins twice removed by 65 million years.

One of my mother's cockatiels (formerly the family's) recently hurt herself somehow and has been unable to fly. We initially worried she was seriously ill, but she's been okay other than staying in the (open) cage a lot, no wing drooping but signs of wing pain. Her mate has been uncharacteristically calm, nice and attentive with her. Vet said there's not much to do but wait and see.

Anyway, she recently took flight and landed on a bookcase for the first time in weeks and I'm really happy :optimistic:
