How much do you love birds?

I like birds. Birds are dinosaurs and are therefore automatically the coolest kind of animal. Also ducks have giant corkscrew cocks and I think that's pretty swell.

Honestly, you did the best you could. Most wildlife rescues don't do more than what you did. Rest and safety gives a bird the chance to recover from a head injury. You've got to be careful with head injuries and heat, but it doesn't sound like you gave it too much of that. The injury was just too much. At least the bird did not die fearful of predators.
 
Saturday in the park. I also learned today that Marshall likes to watch people play soccer. He was hooting and beeping and whistling every time the ball was in the air. The guys all turned in his direction and gaped in shock.
