I'm kind of curious what made them switch animation styles. Compared to what we got, this is more like "after school/saturday mornings" style. You know, the Archive link is still up. And I've still saved a copy

A lot of pilot pitches for shows would switch to different animation studios. The biggest example is the original Family Guy pilot pitch where it looks horrifying compared to the final productI'm kind of curious what made them switch animation styles. While we're at it, let's mention this older Uncle Ruckus gem.Thank you African-American appreciation thread for appreciating The Boondocks.
Another Uncle Ruckus gem. Just think of this whenever you see bodycam footage of niggas acting out.
I tried watching this but it's literally just the episode with little to no commentary, and with the guy adding in his own intro and outro to get around copyright. So they did…
McGruder is one of those rare artists who can do something overtly political that can still be enjoyed by people who don't agree with it. He doesn't do the weak pussy shit of making every "problematic" person a moronic strawman. Even though he borders on being an outright commie (and is definitely further left than most so-called SJWs), Boondocks is remarkably popular among people on the right because it isn't afraid to be self-critical of its own community.Boondocks is a cultural gem brought by people from African-American community unlike BET-slop.
In the comic she was a clueless white girl who had a crush on Huey and blurted out random black culture idiosyncrasies she learned from TV to try and impress him. The show for some reason made her into a full on wigger who is more of a 'real nigga' than Riley.Cindy McPherson is a character I have issues with. It would have been more realistic to make her a male, as gangsta rap is more popular with white males. Females don’t typically like gangsta rap if they are into hip hop. But I feel like McGruder created her because the trope of girls doing everything the boys do is cool to a lot of people (despite girls usually not doing what boys do in real life).
