The series is an anomaly in modern bastardization of comics as a storytelling medium, the show somehow maintains it’s bloody edge.

With Seth Rogan onboard the fact it retains its antiestablishment, terroristic, subversive themes from the comics it’s a mystery as how this came to be.

Personally the comics, to me, are a treasure. A gritty, real, honest scope of how a Justice League would play out in reality. Egocentric, omnipotent, dangerous, and unaccountable Lolcows & degenerates with superpowers.

I have my gripes with the live action, but it’s digestible. Unlike everything else on Disney +

They’ll probably fuck this up, if they even put it in.

But you don't understand. Despite BEING THE ESTABLISHMENT, the leftist consider themseves "the opposition" to the mean and evil crowd.
It's the devil's trick of western 21st century- selling troons and general leftists that they are non-conformists. They seems to really believe that.
So it's still a "revolution" of "opressed minorit" against "opressing majority".

I love the show. Its a refreshing take on an already stale genre of movies and series. Even though alot of the changes are rather obvious when you are familiar with the comic, the changes aren't too intrusive on the shows overall theme and alot of time keep things fresh when you are already familiar with the comic.

Giancarlo Esposito was perfect for Stan Edgar, I don’t even care that he’s a diversity hire, he adds ridiculous depth to an already cold & psychopathic man.

I never read it, but since it is from Garth Ennis and all live action adaptations of his work just fucking miss the point with his bleakness and sometimes humane take. The netflix punisher is a big example of it.

Also, just fucking read Punisher Soviet and Punisher The Platoon, it is so fucking good
Soviet is surprisingly actual, even when it was done before the current events in Ukraine

As someone who seriously loves the comics despite their many, many flaws, I’m liking the show less and less every episode.
Soap-opera love triangles, random new characters and totally new power structures and dynamics mean that the show is now ‘The Boys’ in name only.

I mean, look at Butcher. In the comics he was super strong, sure. But he was also incredibly smart with an absolute flair for manipulation and psychology. He was consistently underrated as a threat by people that only saw him as muscle.

It isn’t until the final chapter that his abilities and motivations are finally revealed, including why Hughie is such an important piece of the puzzle, despite being a continual fuckup.

In the show? He’s a cuck and a side character, instead of the main plot driver. Can’t let a straight white (goyim) man be important now, can we?

The show has drifted too far away from the plot and narrative of the comics. What’s it about now? Butcher’s quest for revenge? Frenchie’s feelings for The Female? MM and his daughter’s redemption? No?

So what is it about? Homelander’s an asshole? Well whoop-de-doo, at least they kept one fucking thing from the comic. Okay. And now he’s an asshole and a neutered cuck being forced to step down so that a Strong and Brave woman can take his place. What was that about straight white male (goyim) having to kneel, again?

I get that Kripke and Rogen are fucking hacks without a creative bone in their bodies, but the problem is that fans of the actual comic will now never see it even remotely faithfully translated onto the screen.
Preacher is ruined, The Boys is ruined. These talentless bags of shit better stay away from Transmetropolitan and 100 Bullets, I swear to fuckin’ god.

Transmetropolitan is safe for the time being, thanks to Warren Ellis' years of messing around with fangirls now bearing fruit in the form of me too accusations. His comics are too much of a hot potato right now. Even Image cut him loose, and they are the company that stuck by Roc Upchurch after he was arrested for beating up his wife.

I think we should kinda abandon the idea that Hollywood is gonna leave source material for comic anthologies unmolested but The Boys & Invincible are probably the least egregious offenders, as a Batman & Green Lantern Comic collector I take what I can salvage, I really am just kinda waiting to see how they handle the finale of The Boys, or if they have the balls to show the female offending rape in Invincible.

its a legacy from judaism and christianity. Christians will still act like they are a persecuted minority and cry about the 6 gorillion martyrs despite being more than 80% of the population in a country. Jews is not even worth mentioning, they are the persecutors acting like the persecuted, its part of the mythology, its literally in the lore and its very effective, people like to see themselves as the righteous underdog, so much its a trope in most fantasy films. Marxists have a whole mythology that revolves around persecution complexes.

Based and truthpilled but this is a thread for discussion of Non-mainstream Comics and their degree of degradation BY Jews, please offer relevant input.
For example/reference, explain the choice by Seth Rogan and fellow moneykikes at Amazon to hire an ethnically obvious Jewess actress to portray a full bodied Nazi, and pose inquiry into why they made a Jew the true perpetrator of Nazi black operations for war & profit.

I tolerated the left wing slant for awhile because it also hinted how fake modern social justice is, especially corporate wokeness...

But Season 3 Episode 1 has the most god awful scene Ive ever seen in a live action movie. Seth must have got the idea for that scene from furry fetish smut. I won't spoil the nature of this Islamic content for you, but trust me you will know which scene Im talking about.

I tolerated it until they shelved Esposito, spoiler alert for faggots lol, his final confrontation with Homelander in the comics was GRADE A KINO. How dare they deprive us of that. That was everything I was holding out for with the legendary actors playing Homelander & Stan Edgar.
Esposito was fucking killing it, how dare they squander him.

I was just gonna say that it was how I felt about Preacher, but you got there in the end too.

I'm not watching The Boys, did watch s1 and found it tolerable but not interesting enough to keep going; but when I watched Preacher, I felt the same except that it warranted sticking around to see how they'd handle it going forward. Things like the Saint of Killer's Hell sequence was good enough to give me some confidence, even if the way they handled Arseface should have offset it. Managed to stick through s2, but the point that broke me was in early S3 when they changed Tulip's dad story.
It was such a great, inspiring, surprisingly progressive bit of character work (male chauvinist guy brags about how he's gonna have a son, but gets a daughter instead and the mother dies; this changes his worldview and he becomes a 10/10 dad to Tulip, and even reflects on the way the world treats women while also sticking to his values by raising her to be self-reliant and capable; then dies in a sudden accident), something you'd think they'd love to portray, and they change it for what? Deadbeat criminal dad that endangers his kid in a police shootout?
Why the fuck do that? To avoid portraying a positive male figure? To avoid showing a "bad guy" can become a "good guy"? Or did they, Hollywood progressives that they are, think that the original backstory wouldn't work now that the dad has to be black?

I didn't even finish the episode. And it's a shame, too, because I like Dominic Cooper and Joseph Gilgun (although his Cassidy is just a messier version of Rudy from Misfits, and it's not because he doesn't have the range to do something different, they just don't give him anything to work with).

And that's why I don't want to watch The Boys. I feel they're gonna do something about that stupid eventually, if they haven't already.

It’s no coincidence that both shows have taken the same giant steaming shits on the source material in the same way.

Kripke and Rogen aren’t creative enough to come up with something successful on their own (look at Santa Inc for a great example of how difficult Rogen finds it to rein in his loxism).
But they are wealthy and well connected enough through the mitzvah network to get their hands on properties they can pollute with their bullshit.

All I can say is that if I were a successful writer, I’d rather my works go unconverted than remade by these kike assholes.

This weeks episode was a redemption, the whole Manchurian Candidate Captain America vs Injustice Superman was short lived but kino, I know we aren’t getting more because lol Zionism, but it sure was sweet while it lasted, I genuinely don’t mind it, it’s not as good but the comics are like Berserk, a faithful adaptation is off the table. The fact that Garth is on board check marking all this shit, is enough for me.

Garth likes to be able to eat, pay his bills, heat his home and wear shoes, so of course he’s ‘on board’. Executive producer means nothing.

He got paid for his IP but I doubt he has veto power sufficient to stop the ongoing rape and dismemberment of the story, the characters, their motivations etc.

And I really doubt that he had any idea how far off the rails the show was going to go. I mean, for example, look at the comic’s sub-plot of MM’s mother/ex-wife/daughter dynamic and how Butcher and MM’s relationship was built around it.

Why does MM hang around Butcher in the show? In the comic, MM owes butcher and his sense of honor and obligation keeps him around. Show MM is constantly bitching about Butcher and the situations he gets them into, yet without motivation, he keeps coming back.

I dunno. I guess Ennis either got paid enough that he doesn’t give a shit, or he’s enjoying the show’s success in spite of what it does to his characters and plots, or he signed an NDA that prevents him from commenting. IMHO the show is a perfect example of why creatives should keep some control of their IP’s when changing media formats.

When I saw this trending on social media, the first thought in my mind is that if Twitter is finding something overwhelmingly positive about it, then something is up.

It was definitely not in an optimsitic way.

If anything, I honestly thought the same thing about HBO adapting Watchmen into a live action series. Sure, they did make a movie about it even while Alan Moore derided it from front to back, but the TV show version was just way too bizarre to even laugh at.

Whoever really thinks these modern comic book adaptations are groundbreaking when they’re clearly being made to demoralize the original audience that loved the comic books in question seriously has managed to sucker people out of their hard earned money to mock and belittle the same people that grew up with this material.

Currently, I still say this while having the original Watchmen comic on my desk, while obviously understanding that Alan Moore himself went against everything he ever stood for from an artistic and freedom of expression standpoint many years ago.
