Ironic that the protagonists “the boys” are wholly less relatable, mostly cause lots of their issues feel ridiculous or shoe-horned in
• Hughie is a limp wristed faggot that keeps this role in every season, he has had minor changes but is pretty much still the pussy ass bitch he’s been since his gf exploded in front of him. Doesn’t help the producers constantly shit on the character.
• Starlight is just becoming more obnoxious and pretentious as time goes on
• MM trying to constantly high road even when it’ll kill everyone is retarded. Dumb nigger tried to square up to soldier boy with his bare hands. This isn’t marvel mf, you would’ve been murdered
• Frenchie’s backstory is more whiney bullshit that is largely irrelevant, especially the faggery with that one nigger. Could’ve left his backstory less developed.
• Kimiko is purely there to serve as eye candy, a living weapon, and a foil for the fuck-up that is frenchie. The actress does great tho with body language.
•Butcher is the only boys member that’s still enjoyable to me, mostly because despite the backstory lore and this whole thing with Ryan and Becca, he is still able to get shit done without all this moral bitching.

You guys are literally facing off against the most powerful corporation AND the most powerful maniac on earth. It has been 4 seasons, buck the fuck up and lock in.

The reason Homelander, the wicked big bad, is such a sell besides the great acting and iconic-ness of the character, is that the backstory and lore of him has the most natural and earnest feel in the entire show. Some people like to sperg and say he’s a MAGA representative etc. and the producers might intend it that way, but the fact that he says what everyone thinks, about everything, especially lately these days, makes him extremely relatable and I think the producers realized this and are banging their heads on the wall.

I would agree with you until they literally made him say the "my wife's son" meme, verbatim, and dead serious. I just couldn't continue after that. And I definitely made the right call.

I should have clarified that over the characters throughout the entire show outside the boys group, Soldier boy is arguably the most based character.
An evil megalomaniac psycho knocked up your wife against her will, and not only did your wife NOT trust you enough to tell you, but she also goes and raises the little superpowered bastard? Soldier boy and Kessler tumor really do make good points.

Butcher was much more enjoyable for me before the nitty gritty of the wife and bastard child shit

I don't think she's had a boob job, I think she's just put on weight (which is hopefully a healthy thing bc she was very sickly thin for a few years). She can't undo the work she had on her face, but overall she looks better than the past few years IMO (although not as freshly pretty and natural as she was at the start of the show... RIP original face)

She's been naked on camera before. She definitely got implants. As well as tons of surgery to her face. If you only watch her in The Boys they use a digital airbrush to soften her features on the show to mask the surgery. But it's far more pronounced in real life. She's not the only actress to change her appearance so significantly that it required a digital makeup team to undo as much of the surgery as they could for the sake of continuity and recognition.

She tried to claim she was suffering from a disease and didn't get surgery. Which is a common excuse that actresses use. Actors as well would "injure" themselves and require a month of rest but it was really just their hair plugs or facelifts settling. Tom Cruise once went to a Dodgers game the day after getting botox and his entire face swelled up during the game and made him look like he was halfway through a werewolf transformation.

Kripke really doesn't know anything about real world America. I mean the dumb fuck genuinely thinks corporations are making right wing propaganda about putting Christ back in Christmas, but if you actually look at them and the media, they're kowtowing to the left wing. LGBT representation, diversity hires that include more non-whites than the demographics would indicate, and the right are presented as dumb rednecks who don't know any better at best and malicious villains at worst.

Before, you had characters like Denny Crane, Ron Swanson and Jack Donaghy who weren't left wing but still presented as good people who were friends with the main liberal cast and respected individuals. Nowadays, those sorts of characters are condemned for not having the correct ideals. But Kripke stays in his bubble and so doesn't understand that America has folded and bowed to the left wing. Because to him they haven't folded enough.

And all they did with him was make him one of those actors who is obsessed with "knowing the part" and his whole character arc is achieving a murder boner. I don't even think they said who he was. I thought it was supposed to be someone we've met before but I think it's just some dude they brought in.

I’m actually glad she put on some weight because like someone mentioned, she was looking a bit anorexic. It’s actually quite sad how much shit she did to her face, she was fresh and had a girl-next-door look you can’t replicate with any procedure. She’s definitely a cluster b personality, I’m sure most people are in Hollywood.

I think both Kiwis have kept this show alive and afloat, Antony Starr and Karl Urban do the best jobs as far as acting goes. The first season was definitely the best, I have high hopes for the fifth. Please don’t let us down, Kripke and fucktard Amazon.
