That's not a completely stupid idea, actually. You should do it off the coast of Africa and Pakistan, though. And whip them instead of giving them money.
Pessimism as to a solution here isn't going to help the situation
My opinions. You have to look at why they're coming to the UK. It's because it's economically attractive. So you remove the attraction.
I don't see any mechanism to do that though without transitioning the UK to a true digital economy, and the same people who complain about the immigrants are those who complain (justifiably) about government overreach when it comes to going cashless and a digital economy. Requiring digital ID to access services would go a long way to fixing things. But heck, the politicians won't even countenance digital certificate requirement to vote, so I don't see that coming any time soon
ALL benefits, including the NHS, need to be subject to at least a 12 month waiting period. The UK needs a break from the international obligation to accept asylum seekers until it can get it's shit into order. If you pull the money, you pull the attraction, and that is within the realms of control. Provide *the bare minimum* you have to legally. I'm talking tent camps in the middle of nowhere, ration stamps, and default holding times. Yes it'll be brutal and ugly, but it has to be to deter people. Victorian style work house type stuff
This problem is solvable, but the political will needs to be there. And it isn't. So there will be no "solution" to this problem. If you don't understand the motivations, just look at the outcomes to divine them. The destruction of European societies has been engineered and planned since the 70's, and was implemented and accelerated by every politician since Blair. To even allow a fix to be put in place, severe political change needs to happen. The UK needs a charismatic leader who can pull things around, Farage is too blatantly dishonest. It needs to be a Che Guevara type person.
