I just got suggested like two videos about the "downfall" of burnt peanut, and I don't want to watch them. What's going on with burnt peanut?

Zoomers refuse to utilize the tools they're given to curate their feeds so they would rather choose to whine and complain about some fat texan that has a peanut facerig instead. PDS (Peanut Derangement Syndrome) is really performative imo. Also zoomers call shit they don't like in general "israeli" as a safe way to signal "this thing is a-okay to make fun of! You can yuck their yum!!!" and is really lame and gay.

I don't watch the streams, just clips. But it just seems like a normal fall off from all time peak viewership, I don't think his channel will die necessarily. His main claims to fame were streaming Tarkov and the game that launched his popularity ARC Raiders. The recent controversy was when he started fighting with his chat while playing Marathon, the chat didn't like the game and he berated them for "not letting him have fun". After that he started up a private Rust server and has been playing there mostly. I think him not playing ARC Raiders caused his popularity to decrease and then even more when he started playing Marathon and infighting with chat.

I don't know about banning but he was timing people out and had mods stepping on the chat when they got too negative. I'm unsure but I also think they accused him of being sponsored and not genuinely liking the game(because it's objectively bad). I'm of the opinion that he genuinely liked it and was not used to his chat flaming him like that, so he didn't react well. He's always just played what he wanted and chat was happy. During the marathon stream they were begging him to play ARC Raiders instead.

He genuinely seemed to enjoy Marathon though. Maybe the game is total garbage, but I guess he fucks with it, but unfortunately his audience and most of his friends don't so he moved on.

I think the last time I saw anything about him online was SuperMega of all people mocking him about something. It’s kinda nuts how he just disappeared off social media.

I was wondering why Burnt Peanut came out of nowhere to become so popular. I hadn't even heard of him until he blew up. Normally YouTubers take longer to become popular, like AsmongGold, so it wouldn't surprise me if Burnt Peanut is an industry plant.

Yeah, I realized that Meat Canyon's video and SuperMega's video were about a different peanut VTuber, but I just saw the title and thumbnail, so I got them confused with Burnt Peanut.

EpicPeanut is a made up character for the SuperMega video, parodying DoctorWitnesser/TheFaithfulSheriff. To me, there's definitely something suspect about a self-proclaimed preacher with a thinly-disguised fart fetish going online to preach the good word to children.

While to many he seemed to come out of no where, it doesn't take much research to see that he was making Tarkov tips videos before briefly quitting before returning as his peanut persona, and from there it took a little over a year before he really blew up. It's similar to Ninja who had a fanbase before but out of nowhere became one of the biggest faces in gaming seemingly overnight.
 
Peanut got big on Tarkov, but blew up with Arc Raiders. A lot of Tarkov streamers were planning to try Arc, since it's also an extraction shooter. But Peanut was one of the few insisting "this is going to be big" while the others were more skeptical. Tarkov attracts a hardcore and elitist fanbase, which doesn't match up with Arc's casual, more cooperative style.

So Arc itself blew up and surprised everyone, including the devs themselves. Then Tarkov 1.0 launched two weeks after Arc launched. All the other Tarkov streamers went back, but Peanut stayed and ran 3 man squads nonstop for its first months. He basically absorbed the entire fan base that liked extraction shooters but was burned out on Tarkov, plus the new casual audience Arc picked up.

3 man team fights is the most entertaining way to watch Arc, which helped. It also meant he was playing with other streamers, including solo streamers and guys who just wanted to dip into a squad and dip out. So Peanut wound up playing with Shroud, Summ1t, Ninja, and a bunch of other high-profile FPS streamers who were only intending to play Arc for a week or so. That got him crossover audience, and when they rotated out the viewers who wanted more Arc stuck around with the biggest remaining Arc streamer, Peanut himself.

I think most of the recent "controversy" stems from Peanut basically doing everything Arc had to offer, and switching to a private Rust server that he whitelisted other streamers to. Rust is just constant drama itself, and anything with large numbers of streamers doing something sparks mini-drama too. Everyone seems to be having fun on the streamer side, but a lot of viewers (myself included) aren't big on Rust. So they get bored and amplify drama as well.
 
Some of the hate towards Peanut man is its claimed that he is MAGA or a chud. Not sure as to the evidence for the claims considering he largely avoids any topics of politics so its all conjecture at best. Probably just some fags who don't like his USA and 2A jokes.
