You know what is worse than living in a horde? Living in the wild, or being put to sleep by a shelter.
Living in the wild? Possibly. Being put to sleep by a shelter? Possibly not. Bob had insect bites when he died and it's only getting worse. That place is filthy. It's sad and unfortunate, but it genuinely could be better for the dogs to be put down by a shelter than to die from the conditions in that shithole.

Aww, don't even say that. I'll take those beagles in before they should be sent to a shelter. Give them like an hour, two hours of exercise a day, let them out, they'd be good dogs.

Anyone know if the dogs (possibly the cats too) even go to a vet?
I doubt it, but I don't take my cat to a vet unless I need something specific done. But then again, I keep a clean environment for her.

That'd be nice. Those dogs really don't deserve the situation they're in. Like, Barb and Chris aren't in the best health because of their environment, but they were the ones who put themselves in that situation. They know what they're doing. I don't know why they had to bring other living creatures into that situation.

I guess Barb figured more animals will keep her company and make her feel less lonely (they don't) while Chris felt that a pet's love will be a substitute for the lack of love from gal-pals and sweethearts (it isn't). Both of them denied the fact that neither one is able to take care of one pet, let alone several. If Bob was still around (and not dying) I imagine he'd have pitched a fit when they came home with Clover and Snoopy.

It always bothered me that Patti was left outside so often. I got the feeling that Chris treated her like a toy that can be put away when you're bored of it instead of a living creature.

He treats people the same.

I think the outdoor pen was because Bob and/or Barb didn't want Patti inside, not Chris. If it was Bob's desire, then there was nothing stopping them from making Clover and Snoopy indoor dogs. If it was Barb, then obviously she's changed her mind in order to hoard the dogs and pretend they keep her company, companionship, and make her happy.

Borb may have forced Chris to make Patti part of his routine, so maybe she got food and water on a regular basis, but even so Chris was still very poorly equipped to take care of a dog.

I don't even like to think about what poor Clover and Snoopy are going through.

The hopeful part of me likes to think they're doted on, but I can't see them getting a lot of exercise.

I forget, is the chandler yard fenced in? The dogs probably aren't that bad off if barb n' chris let them out once in a while

One thing they are at least doing is getting their pets fixed. Believe me, if they weren't, they'd be swimming in cats especially. I've known people who started off with just two cats they didn't get fixed, and within maybe three years they had 20.

I guess that's one thing they managed to do right.

You know who else would benefit from an hour of two of exercise a day and going out regularly?

I'm not going to say who, but I think you can guess.
