To be fair, that was a smert and based debate, or at least not as bad as being (allegedly) a scammer or a dude sending pictures of himself jacking off in a sailor moon outfit.2 words, political debate.
To me, it's a lot of them don't want to just come off as normal or even a little whole; they really go for the "We're friends, and... AND I REALLY LIKE YOU!" without crossing into stalker territory. And the amount of "look at all this good stuff I do" comes off as very performative to me, though that could just be my mistrust and paranoia about people. I figure that's part of the trick to get all the parasocial relationships streamers and shit seem to get; and maybe they don't mean to be like that, but it's the vibe I get, especially because viewers become donators, and donators can be very generous for simply feeling like you're friends. But then your lizard brain kicks in and realize these people don't do much but play videogames. I'm a bit of a 100%/Completionist myself, but I also recognize I don't have the charisma or character to make a career out of it; and so when I see someone market themselves as such, it's not professional jealousy, but I can seriously say "That's not that fucking impressive." Then throw in all the stuff they're serious/passionate/etc about and yeah, roll your fucking eyes at them. The sole exception is Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson, that dude just comes off like a slimey used car salesmen; you'd want your lawyer to read over anything he says, because you might end up with his finger up your ass and you somehow agreed to it in writing. They all have them this immature manchild nature about themselves.
I don't think that's the case, because Jirad's charity has been going for quite some time, 10 years I guess, way before the whole G4 debacle.I used to watch Jirad and I wouldn't be surprised if this was true, always got weird vibes from him. He went on the woke parade G4 and prolly lost money when they went out of business and thought a charity scam would subsidize those losses
So he possibly has dementia just like his mom. That would be the icing on the cake.Jirard has also been complaining about his mental health for years, and it's gotten worse the last two.
Dude infodumps like this are the whole point of Kiwi Farms. Besides if someone does make a Jirard thread this stuff will be useful, Dump moar.I apologize for this vomit of an infodump.
Oddly enough, the most honest online asshole was that dude at Twitch Con who told his viewers they're beneath him. Probably not the most elegant way to say things; but he let them know there's a wall between him and his audience. I find most of the "friendly" online people only haven't been found out yet; do I think they're guilty, not exactly, but I'm not gonna think some online person is my friend and shit. So when something does happen, doesn't effect me either way.Man. I knew Jirard was a scumbag (when he threw JonTron under the bus), but holy SHIT, I didn't know he was this much of an asshole.
