So I was pondering about this hypothetical dystopic future, what if we manipulate the human genome to create artificial races?
Such a thing is not that impossible in the future. Hence we already have the technology to clean embryo of genetic defect. We must just broad it use to not just therapeutic benefit but for more liberal use. Like inserting smart gene and muscle gene to create ''super'' baby.

They will still be a gap between liberal eugenism(like I mentioned) and the creation of multiple artificial race of human with specific purpose.
The difference between plant/animal and people is the former is being seen more as tool/food will human have right. But like progressive what we define as ''human right'' is not static it tend to change during the century.

How artificial race will affect racism? Will people leave the black/asian/hispanic alone because they will be real genetically modified sub-human slave to discriminate?

Touché, furry are kinda cute but it mainly because they are cartoon. Attempting to recreate such a thing IRL at best will make a very weird result or something outright horrifying at worst.

No. We have the potential technology (CRISPR gene editing if you're curious), but it has never been used successfully to correct any known heritable disease in an embryo and has shown off-target effects when it was attempted.

Intellect and muscle strength aren't determined by a single gene. There's a plethora of different genetic and epigenetic factors that determine those traits. Even if you could insert a "smart" or "strong" gene, genes controlling early development often have a large cascade effect and will often end up influencing other aspects of development, potentially negatively.

Even less likely. Aside from the obvious issues in embryonic development and off-target effects, a humanoid furfag would require a freakishly large or deformed head, or would have to sacrifice intellect and abstract thought.

No. Discrimination is a result of in-group preference. The creation of another out-group will not necessarily cause a person's in-group to expand.

I'm just here to point out that there have been trials on mice for a gene therapy that appears to result in a reduction in fatty tissue and inflammation while simultaneously increasing muscle mass. And this is a process that can be done after the mouse has already been born.
If these results are found to be repeatable in human beings: we could see, in the near future, a procedure that turns landwhales into bodybuilders by influencing their genes well outside of the womb.

What I really want you to get out of this is that these gene therapies don't necessarily need to start at the embryonic stage. Some of us may even benefit from this form of genetic modification. If we have the money for it, that is.
