The Craft: Legacy (2020) - Direct-to-digital sequel to the 1996 supernatural thriller

i was trying to remember why this seemed familiar but then i remembered we played it on one of the movie nights. the first one was okay i guess, but why are they making a sequel/reboot/remake/whatever the fuck for it now?

love how supernatural the sparkle effects give when they use magic.
rebooting or making sequels this year has been such a hot thing. iunno why they’d pick a classic like the craft and make it into what looks like a gurrrrl power movie with some “ ohhh spooky magics”

"Being original is hard and if you can milk nostalgia into a desecrated corpse, why wouldn't you?"-someone in Hollywood probably

I don't think anyone demanded this.

That's my birthday. What a great present.

That girl with the plaid pants is shaped like a fridge.

Is that a troon? If you are gonna wear high waisted plaid pants for some reason I can't comprehend you should be thin. It's the only way that's gonna work. And they sure as hell don't work with that top. But troons always look like hot messes. It's part of the uniform. I think we should embrace this outfit as MA'AM's natural markings. Can't wait to see what other ensembles "she" has in store for us.

The short haired one in the tie dye looks like fakeboi material. If she isn't a lesbo I will be astounded. Bonus points if she and grandpa pants make out. Because you know that thing is gonna be a trans-lesbian.

I hate that they have a troon in this. For something that has no reason to exist in the first place they sure put effort into making it irredeemable.

Gotta be woke. Maybe he'll use magic to grow a vagina.

A "sequelboot" of sorts.

Still, nothing tops Fairuza.

She was the best part of the movie. I doubt anyone in this one will live up to her performance.

Will the she hulk use a glamour spell like in the original to change his appearance to rape someone they cast a love spell on or would that be transphobic?

Because Blumhouse acquired the rights to it and it's a recognizable IP with a fanbase that still cares about it after 24 years.

Double post, but I read the full plot on Wikipedia. It’s worse than I thought it would be.
None of the girls are bad guys and the REAL bad guy is the stepdad who wants to steal main girl’s powers(he's from a PAGEN COVEN, oh no!), but is stopped by the four girls using girl power or whatever. Also main girl is the villain from the first movie. It’s revealed at the end and is the only real connection to the first film.
Oh, and love spell boyfriend is bisexual. Because.

I’m not even a big fan of the original and I still think this is an insult.
