So I can see that the DarkRP gamemode is live, but the server is very bare bones right now. Even if you don't put in more addons right now, we definitely need a better map than gm_flatgrass. I'd suggest rp_evocity_v2d or rp_evocity_v33x until we can get a custom map or something. Or just keep one of the Evocity maps.
 
Alright, so I spent all day adding in content to the server. Kind of. I added in a shit ton of new models for player classes, all the M9K Weapons (though only a small few are usable by non-admins right now), some weed and cocaine entities, a working bus, and the map rp_evocity_v33x (which is temporary until we can create a new one, I hope). The problem is that I can't actually install these files on the server. Metasync has to do it, because the server's files are on his computer. And he's away for 3 weeks. He has his laptop, I think, but I don't know if the files would be on there. You can still come check out the server as it is right now, it's just that it only has the default DarkRP stuff and the map is gm_flatgrass.

I also realize that the IP wasn't given yet. Here it is:

EDIT: I'm uploading the V1.1 content to Dropbox now. It just needs to be compressed, then it should be up in about half an hour.
 
You can make a list of all the mods you've added to the server and make a collection where people can go and download them instead of having people look around for them on their own or wait ten hours before they can join the server. It's what I do with my friend and it works pretty well.

Here's all the content so far.
Not much has been added, but so far we have:

-All the Murderthon 9000 Weapons (though only some are usable right now)
-The Civil Protection has been replaced with human police (and JC Denton is also a cop)
-Billy Mays is the mayor
-Hitler is the Mob Boss
-The Gangsters are all 1390's gangsters
-Niko Bellic, The Postal Dude, and Gordon Freeman in a citizen outfit are all selectable as citizens
-You can buy weed and cocaine (though they don't seem to always spawn. I don't know why)
-Sligwolf's bus is driveable.
-rp_evocity_v33x is included with the pack

There's more to come.

There are also some loose materials hanging around. Sorry. I had to replace some models, and I lost track of some of the materials that I was supposed to delete. There are also some currently unused models in there.

Like I said before, none of this will be implemented until Metasync installs it, which might not be for a few weeks.

just a head's up, /cow/'s IRC stumbled upon the server by accident while looking for places to troll. if you get griefed don't make a big deal out of it.
 
Wait, people aside from me go on this server?

Besides, DarkRP is only fun when you grief.
 
Out of curiosity, does anybody actually use the server? If nobody is using it, then I think we should probably shut it down. I'm fairly certain that Metasync has forgotten about the server anyway.
 
Disregard what I said in my last post. I suddenly got the urge to add some new shit to the content pack. Not many changes, other than new models for the Gangsters, implementing the car dealer NPC, and adding in SCars. I'm not uploading it yet, though. I forgot to add in, change, and fix a bunch of shit before I compressed it. I haven't even tested the new stuff. I'm just too tired right now. The V1.2.1 pack should hopefully be uploaded in the next few days, and maybe even installed onto the server.
 
Sorry for not keeping the server active, going to be purchasing the server again seeing as though I can actually afford to sustain a server now.

I'll probably start working on a Chris model now that I am much more familiar with modelling and such. I also don't even have spaps on my Steam friends list for some reason.
