The David Icke Forums - truthers, birthers, chemtrails, lizards, big pharma and the illuminati.

For those who are unaware David Icke was a shell suited BBC presenter who had a very public breakdown in the 1990's and is one of the main sources for many of the internets more common conspiracy theories- he believes in lizards, chem trails and illuminati esque cults controlling the world. Since the 90's Icke has made a living selling these 'theories' in numerous books and seminars. A quick youtube gives a rough flavour:

Other noted conspiracy peddler Alex Jones maintains an on and off relationship with icke- he cannot afford to alienate the mans substantial flock but at the same time has said in interviews that he 'doesn't agree with Icke on everything' and that 'some of his ideas are a little out there'.

so that's david Icke a man too crazy for Alex jones. But this thread isn't about Icke- it is about the concentrated mass of insanity that is the forum he runs.

professing to be the last free place on the internet the forums are tightly controlled by Ickes cultists. Discussion on any insane theory is allowed but if one dares to suggest an idea is wrong or a conspiracy theory you will be hit by a banhammer. Even arguing against outright scams like defra, Iraqi Dinar and OPCA will quickly earn a ban. The forums are a nucleus for snakeoil salesmen setting out and a cathedral to the paranoid.

masonic conspiracies, aliens, mind control, marijuana curing cancer better than chemo are all just the tip of the iceberg.

Some of those posts were so incoherent, stupid and batshit crazy that I had to read them again several times just to understand what they are saying. I don't expect much from the prepper crowd which is obviously what that forum caters to and what they are looking to con. You gotta be a real fucking idiot or just really ignorant and unsophisticated to fall for all this David Icke shit. I'm gonna look through that forum and see if I can find some more gems to share since you said that these people also buy into that chem trails joke.

And take a look at this post.

Notice the water filter ad on the right too.

I clicked on it and I was led to this suspicious looking page. Making this point because it's clear to me that they are looking to sell these products to the ignorant that go on this site, assuming many of these preppers are too dumb to know how to use Adblock. Alex Jones does the same thing.

These are the kind of nutjobs that I could probably pitch Gensokyo to, a mythical world cut off from the rest of Japan where supernatural elements such as magic and Youkai exist because the rest of the modern world has begun to reject them as fables exist and thrive, and they would buy every single bit of it.

There really is no reasoning with people like this, since they're so deeply entrenched in their paranoia and this belief that they're a subjugated few that know "TEH TROOF" that they perceive any dissenting opinion as the Illuminati or the Masons or the Reptoid Government Haxxors trying to run damage control and suppress them. They want their echo chamber because they believe that it is literally the only thing real.

Fortunately, they're so batshit loony they have entire novels and movies making fun of their ilk as the conspiratard stereotype, so at least I take comfort in the fact that many of us are just laughing at these guys obsessing about fluoride.

It did in the past freely name those public figures who were under investigation for child sexual abuse, but since a mod crackdown on posting names, the subforum covering institutional and historical child abuse is now chock full of Illuminati and satanic conspirancy theories. Jo Mjadzelics was posting there in the run up to her trial about her knowledge of Ian Watkins' activities.

Ah I was waiting for Ike an Co to get a thread, these guy's are downright insane.

That's about the only thing they have done right, I am normally not into social media witch hunts especially in the lead up to a General election as most of it's untrue but rumours about this stuff has been flying around for years in some circles and most of them have all payed out. They ruined it by tagging it to whatever theory they subscribe to but at least the names where out there.

I'm honestly kinda surprised that Icke's flock hasn't grown up into a proper cult yet.
I think that's only because Icke is legtimatly crazy and believes all his nonsense, it's a really thin line between people like him and new age cult leaders who want to swindle gullible hippies.

But anyway it's fun watching his followers explain how the moon is an artificial construct made by shapeshifting jews lizard people to control the masses, apparently even Hitler knew about it!

Yes, to be absolutely fair to them, those public figures and politicians they named last year (two years ago? longer for some of them) are names that have eventually been publicly reported as being subject to police investigations (and some convictions). They also have being following the Elm Tree Guest House issue for years before the current investigation; likewise the North Wales and Kincora children's home allegations.

They are way off base with the Hollie Greig thing though; that is [sources] a total crock of shit.

There are also some completely mental conspiracies and allegations lumped in with the stuff that is broadly worth pursuing further. But, well, even crazies are not wrong about everything all of the time.

I just registered there, and it's one of those forums where you have to wait for an administrator to personally activate your account, a sign that the site's administrators are paranoid of new members.

Newmembers unbellyfeel Lizardtruths. Mods must keep fullwise watch over newmembers to prevent doubleplusungood shillthink and thinkcrime.

the problem with sites like Ickes (and a pretty good way of distinguishing them from Poe's) is that the paranoid crowd it attracts accuses everyone of paedophilia. This creates a combination of the shotgun and boy who cries wolf effect. Yes they will out genuine pedos, however these genuine posts will be lost amongst the sea of purely made up allegations.

the Worldfreemansociety forum is a good example of this- formerly the hub of Canadian OPCA activity it is now an Ickes esque conspiracy site (though with tiny traffic ) it contains literally hundreds of threads calling out any and every kind of public official as a pedo.

like the tumblr girls who dilute the gravity of suicidal thinking with incessant suicide baiting, constant false allegations make the few genuine ones harder to treat with the seriousness such allegations should deserve..

The joke is that that's what they do here, right?

David Icke is one of the old-school lolcows, I'm glad his weirdo fanbase gets a thread.

Synchronicity - did the Zulus "lead" me to Icke?

Since I saw the film Zulu in 1976 when I was 10 I've been obsessed with Zulu history and culture. In recent years this led me to the writings of the Zulu sangoma (traditional healer) Credo Mutwa. I was vaguely aware of David Icke but hadn't read any of his works or watched any of his videos. Then when I entered the words "Credo Mutwa" on YouTube I saw the series of videos called "The Reptilian Agenda" in which Mutwa discusses this with Icke. It was from then on that my interest in Icke grew. Just wondering if these things happen for a reason.

Another possible example of synchronicity is this: I was reading what David Icke had to say about paedophilia in the "higher" echelons of society. At first I was somewhat skeptical and thought "This is a bit over the top". Soon afterwards I saw a documentary on TV about sex-trafficking. There was a woman in the documentary who had been sex-trafficked against her will to the USA but later "rose up the ladder" to become a madam (brothel-keeper) herself. She said "You wouldn't believe the number of establishment figures, including prominent politicians, who have been involved in the sexual abuse of children".

Poe's law- no idea if its real or not but i like it!

Im three minutes in and the clouds are an alien hive creature and the sun is most likely a hollow stargate!

'what im speaking here is mostly just intuition now being backed by science, the sun us much different to what we thought and the clouds ARE NOT FUCKING REAL'

I love it! This is fantastic XD

Edit 'mete-WHORE-ologist tell me what these are *zooms in on picture of clouds infront of the sun*'

My Mother-in-law is a huge follower of Icke and Jones. During the Iraq War she thought that the government was going to open those REX-86 camps or whatever and she stocked up on all this canned shit. She took out a mortgage when her husband was in 5150 (no bullshit; completely unrelated though) and commissioned a small shelter. She left one of her 10 dogs in there one time and it died because she thought it ran away. When she went to re-stock up she saw the poor thing laying there.
