In case you haven't noticed:

I was running it in a VM

I had to trash the drive my previous Linux installation was on, due to the platters making fucked up noises. I will eventually get a new drive and install Gentoo on it, though configuring dual boot might pose a challenge since Windows does not like to play nice with GRUB. Need to find some free-time later on this month.

I would rather run Linux outside of a VM if I'm going to use it for something else beyond ironic Screen Fetches.
 
took DNJack's advice and downloaded more RAM for my Linux VM.

nice photoshop.
like hell you are using 512 MB RAM, a power of 2, with vlc, a terminal and imageMagick open. Those things don't happen at random.

Desktop of my toaster laptop. It's from an old pc game called Shogo Mobile Armor Division. Also where the screaming anime man avatar I used came from. Once I get my main pc back, I'll show the desktop for that one.
 
Gotta post now that I got my 1440p monitor in. It's a korean one and has minor backlight bleed issues, so wish me luck in my monitor dismantlement misadventures! :\
