I want to believe everything in the book, but I'm open to the possibility that Wiseau is creating a myth around him, and is really an alien prince.
For all we know, Wiseau could be some vampire from Eastern Europe who loves the United States. With that said, maybe he fears some vampire hunter is trying to get him and is using whatever there is related to Wiseau so he could find Wiseau's location.

I've worked it out guys. The reason that Tommy Wiseau is such a weirdo is because he's...

Quality

You have no idea how much I want to see a film version of what the original script was, without any editing. (if that means Claudette literally popping into a scene with Lisa, so be it)

So would Wiseau be doing one of these things then when he is near his TV?

Would it really surprise anyone if he did?

Wow, Tommy really comes through as an asshole in this book. Also. Mad props to Fib for his work. Fib, you just became the newest member of the New Ween Order, brother.

I read this book over the course of 5 productions of a play i was in back in October during scenes where I was not onstage. The switching between Tommy and Greg's early years and the filming of The Room was a really interesting device that managed to portray the best and worst of Tommy Wiseau

When will you upload another chapter, Fibonacci? And don't tell me "in a few minutes, bitch!".

Come on! I'm thirsty for weirdness.

You could buy the book. It's 12 dollars on Amazon.

Also, the book is getting a film adaptation. I can't wait to see it.

Imo, this is the proper way to watch The Room:
  1. Watch The Room
  2. Read The Disaster Artist
  3. Rewatch The Room and have your mind fucking blown as things finally, kind of start to make sense.
Seriously, if you read The Disaster Artist you need to rewatch The Room right afterwards because all the behind-the-scenes knowledge adds so much to your enjoyment of the movie. This is my absolute favorite piece of context:

I adore The Room so I snatched the book right up on release after looking forward to it for several months, wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Love that despite it already being considered one of the worst movies ever made, there were so many ideas Wiseau wanted that got axed out. Stuff like him being dead serious about wanting to include a flying vampire car

They're making a film about the book about the making of the Room? I don't know if my mind can handle that much Room-ception

For some reason, I find Tommy's use of "candy" as a euphemism for money to be endlessly hilarious.

Also, has anyone ever tried to tell people about The Room irl? I tried with my folks a couple nights ago and if they didn't think I was a lunatic then, they probably do now.

A couple of my friends watched The Room at some point and one night at a bar we ended up discussing the sordid history of the film, its funding, and Tommy Wiseau. There is one friend that we REALLY wanted to show it to since he's kind of into "disasterpiece" movies like shit from The Asylum and Uwe Boll. The thing is, he's so used to someone ripping off a blockbuster movie or video game IP. I don't think he's ever seen an original work like The Room, so I'm pretty eager to see his reaction.
